What a wonderful restaurant! It used to be a Mojitos I believe, but the new owners renamed it La Bonita. The owner(I think) was out on the floor making rounds, greeting customers. The food was delicious, and we were moved inside after the owner noticed the temperature dropping. They have a couple of TV around the place that were playing sports. Very friendly, very attentive, very delicious!

Please ignore any negative reviews about this restaurant! I’ve been here once for just drinks and another time for dinner, drinks, and karaoke and it has truly been an amazing experience. Our server for dinner was also working in the kitchen and he was amazing! The shaker of margarita is only 11 dollars and you get about 3 glasses full. The menu is a little off so my vegetarian 3 was just a cheese quesadilla, but it was a really good cheese quesadilla so I can’t complain. I would also highly recommend asking for the hot salsa if you can handle a little bit of heat. The prices and quality make me super excited to return. If you’re wanting a good time and a good meal, definitely give this place a try!

My partner and I were in last week and were amazed. The lady that served us was incredible very welcoming, friendly and full of joy. She even had the owner come and chat with us. They are a great couple and staff here. We had Birria tacos and a seafood enchilada. Highly recommend. We will be back next time we are in town.

Last couple of restaurants in this spot have been mediocre. Saw it went under new ownership and decided to give it a try. It was great! Happened to come in on karaoke Friday which was a fun vibe. Highly recommend the enchiladas with red sauce and the adobo house hot sauce is fantastic!

Our new favorite Mexican spot in the Des Moines area!! Love the food and the wait staff!! Eddie helped us tonight and he did an amazing job!! They also have karaoke and dancing on Fridays and Saturdays. Easy to find a gluten free and dairy free meal here.

We went at an off time so it took a little while to get served, but our server was fantastic. The prices were WAY better than I remembered, but it might’ve been different ownership/establishment then.
The owner kindly told us about karaoke on fridays and we’re going to come back. They have free nachos and their drinks looked good.

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Prices are reasonable, food is always great. They have happy hour, and daily specials. And also has karaoke every Friday night! Super fun atmosphere by far one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town.

Hubby and I attended their karaoke event last night and it was such a good time. Ricardo the owner and his wife Melissa made their rounds around the restaurant making sure everyone was taken care of and even handed out free tequila shots. We ordered fajitas and the burrito California and I have to say it was very delicious. We will be back!
