Oh my cookies…
Today, Ev’s Eats had to try out labonbonniere bakery in Charlotte, N.C. and I have to say, I was impressed.
The bakery is a walk-up style cookie joint hidden inside a beautiful food court style alley with wide selection of food choices. However, La Bonbonniere was the only one with a line out the door from the moment it opened.
The have a wide variety of cookies to choose from, all presented beautifully.
I love the color scheme, ambiance, and friendly staff as well.
We tried the box of 4 for $20. Not a bad price at all considering the size and richness of the cookies.
We got the Dubai chocolate, the “Brooklyn,” the beignet, and the cookie butter brownie.
All were delicious, however, I would say that the middles were quite undercooked…
Good crisp on the outside for sure! The insides were just oozed out a bit when you broke it open. I love a gooey cookie but…
All in all, though, great experience.
This was for a birthday celebration for my lovely wife and as you can see the staff went above and beyond and even lit her a candle IN LINE for her to blow out. Awesome customer service!
Definitely give them a try!

Ok, so I don’t even know how to start this review. I normally have all the intention to do it, in general, but sometimes I crave so much the things I get that I don’t even take a decent or proper picture, then I say next time and the next time never arrive However, this one literally can’t just not doing it. First of all, I never imagined that working at the Uptown Charlotte, despite my job, make me want to love more the area. I was wrong. This place is a GEM!!! I was so disappointed last week when I couldn’t make it to try the French Beignet Cookie, but they kept it for this week. So, I just ran to this place during my lunch time and guess what? As soon as I walked in to the place, they greeted me with such a warm and welcoming way. Since my face was showing disappointment because the cookie bar was literally empty. I literally said: don’t tell me you ran out of the cookie. And which I think is the owner, very gently responded me: if we don’t have the one you want we can always bake it for you. Like, what? For real? But little did I know that they were just refilling the cookie bar. I got so blessed that I got the cookies literally freshly out of the oven. I got the Nutella Brookie, Giant Churro, S’more than that and, of course, no 1 but 2 of the French Beignet. Let me tell you something people! Just hear me out!!! That’s the best cookie I’ve ever had! The service was 10 out of 10. They were super nice and even told me to wait between 10-12 minutes because the French Beignet just got out of the oven so it wouldn’t break. They packed it in a very beautiful box annnd, they even come with a super cute card with tips so you enjoy it like a pro! Come on somebody! Anyway, this weekend I will be enjoying my cookies so much, and for sure, I will definitely comeback because how can I not save a place for those cookies? If you have still doubts to visit this place, please don’t! Do yourself a favor and just come! P.S.: Pictures don’t definitely make justice of how goood these cookies are!

Okay, this place is a must stop!! The smell of fresh cookies totally brought me in. It ended up being an amazing decision. They are absolutely some of the best cookies I’ve ever had!!! We tried several options and loved them all. I would highly highly recommend giving this spot a try if you have a sweet tooth. The owner was also superrrrr sweet and very kind which is just an added bonus. 100/10 would come back again when I visit CLT.

So delicious! Initially saw a review on TikTok and had to come try the stuffed Dubai chocolate chip cookie while I was in Uptown. Mix and match 4 gourmet cookies for $20. I also got the tiramisu iced latte, I was very pleased. Service was superior. Would definitely recommend as an excellent spot to grab a sweet treat.

10/10. Perfect balance crispy outside and soft inside. Follow the instructions on the card about warming them up! I was so excited when they opened up their own location. Will definitely be coming back to support this small business 🙂

These cookies are unbelievable. Best cookies in NC by far, comparable to the best cookies we’ve had in NYC, if not better. We drive an hour just to get them and it’s totally worth it. I have to add, the people working there are the nicest humans, 10/10 experience every time.

Very yummy cookies but I do wish they warmed them up for you before you get them. We got two cookies and the card in the bag said they are best warmed up, but we were on the go and couldn’t go home to warm them up. Not sure if we were supposed to ask to have the warmed up there or if they offer that?

I cannot recommend them enough! The cookies are PHENOMENAL!!! Such unique flavors and always so yummy 🙂 The coffee is also to die for! I love the salted caramel cappuccino! Best part are the people who work there! They go above and beyond to be kind and helpful! 20/10!!!
