The flagship Edison store opened in 1952, where it still is today, and it is open 7 days per week and all major credit cards are accepted. La Bon believes in making baked goods the old-fashioned way – using skilled bakers and high quality ingredients. La Bon also offers freshly made sandwiches made with Boar’s Head Meats and Cheeses on a variety of fresh baked breads. Catering and delivery is also available for home or office including continental breakfast, a signature breakfast with fresh fruit and egg frittatas, and sandwich platters.

As usual, LaBon did not disappoint! Ordered a half sheet cake, tray of cookies and tray of desserts for my grandson’s first birthday party, and not only was everything delicious, but the service from the staff at LaBon was so amazing! It was a snowy day and the staff carefully took all the goodies to the car for us. The cake was gorgeous and perfect for the occasion, and the cookies and desserts were so good!

The true heart of excellent customer service was shown by the owner, who took the time to listen to my concerns, fully understand my vision for the cake, and absolutely delivered. I was beyond delighted with how beautifully the cake turned out, and the flavors were just as incredible. I’ve been going to La Bonne for years for pastries and cakes, and this experience only reinforced why.

From price quote, to cake pickup, to eating I had a phenomenal experience. I splurged for my 30th birthday for a custom cake. La Bon was affordable for what I wanted which was amazing. Their staff was incredibly sweet, professional, and all around pleasant. And the cake? Oh my God. I couldn’t ask for a better outcome. I provided a reference photo and the result was an exact match. Flavor wise? Impeccable. I don’t know what it is about these cakes but it was hands down the best cake I’ve ever had in my life. It was decadent but not too sweet (especially with black frosting, I was pleasantly surprised), perfectly piped frosting, and perfectly light and flavorful strawberries and cream filling. I will 100% be trusting all my future cakes to la bon from now on!

I have been coming to La Bon for over 20 years; I was in middle school when I went to a baby shower and the cake was from La Bonbonniere (vanilla with strawberry and banana filling) and I still remember to this day. This is my all time favorite bakery to this very day. They have so far never disappointed me. Cakes, cookies, bread, even their strudel, so so delicious.
