La Bon Bake Shoppes is a family-owned full-line retail bakery specializing in Custom and Artistic Cakes, Cupcakes, Cookies, Pastry & Danish, Bread & Rolls, and More. The flagship Edison store opened in 1952, where it still is today, and it is open 7 days per week and all major credit cards are accepted. La Bon believes in making baked goods the old-fashioned way – using skilled bakers and high quality ingredients. La Bon also offers freshly made sandwiches made with Boar’s Head Meats and Cheeses on a variety of fresh baked breads. Catering and delivery is also available for home or office including continental breakfast, a signature breakfast with fresh fruit and egg frittatas, and sandwich platters.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years because the quality of the products are always amazing. However, I have to be honest the decoration side doesn’t quite match the taste. My most recent cake (cost me $44), while delicious, looked like it was decorated by a beginner. I’d love to see the presentation elevated to the same high standard as the flavors.
