Very nice French restaurant not far from the Park. The escargot, while rich, was excellent, as was the French onion soup. I had the roasted chicken and yukon potatoes since I’ve been here before and remembered how good it was. Will be back again 🙂

Everything was absolutely delicious! A bit pricier than I normally choose but worth the splurge, especially for a special occasion. We started with the Homemade Crab Cake with Herb Mayo & Cucumber Salad appetizer (we were hungry so forgot to take a pic). Then I had the Pan-Seared Salmon with a Honey Mustard Crust & Couscous which is melt in your mouth good. My dining partner are every bite of their Seafood Crepes in a Mushroom Sauce & Couscous. We closed with coffee and two desserts: Crème Brûlée (oooh-so-creme-y!) and Profiteroles which were so good I had a spoon in each hand!

Nice cozy restaurant. We liked their duck confit salad, their roasted duck entree, and their onion soup.

Excellent French dishes!! What a wonderful place to have a meal! Around the corner from the 1 train or the C and B trains. The delicious dishes were prepared wonderfully. Service was attentive. Great place to take for a date or just catch up with friends. You can take reservations inside but outdoors is first come first serve! I recommend this place if you are in the Lincoln center area.

Really liked this restaurant. It’s very small but they didn’t pile tables on top of each other to try to pack in the cash. It felt roomy even though it wasn’t. I would have given it 5 stars but I thought the portions were small. I was hungry a couple of hours later. I would definitely return and hope it was just my menu choice.

My wife and I had brunch. Our first visit. I am 63 and I had the best omelette of my life there. How can a mushroom omelette be that good? I would rather revel in the mystery of it than try to explain it. My wife had the brioche French toast and loved it. Lovely, intimate space. Good service. No rush, no hurry. We will be frequent flyers. Bon appetite!

After a visit to the Apple Store on the Upper West Side, we sauntered over and ate outdoors here. Nice setup and terrific food. We had the chicken scallopini and crab cake salad. Loved them both. The staff was very careful and wore masks throughout. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Great place to go if you want to remind yourself how much middle school French you didn’t retain. Food was delicious though, made me feel better about forgetting all my French. I highly recommend the escargot, because 1) I can at least FEEL French while eating it, and 2) dipping the complimentary bread in the escargot garlic butter is *bisou du chef ‍ *

We loved the decor… very charming. The pate was delicious, as well as the crab cakes. The onion soup was decent and the lobster bisque was everything you want in that type of bisque… the essence of lobster with a touch of decadence. The desserts were good, especially the creme brûlée and the chocolate mousse. However, the place was packed and a bit warm/humid/stuffy. The entrees were a bit of a disappointment. The seafood crepes were very fishy as in “not fresh seafood” kind of way and I returned it. I just could not stomach them. They did offer to make me another dish, but I declined. The branzino was better, but a bit too “briny” from too many capers. In the end a good experience that fell a little short in the end.

My parents visited La Boite en Bois last weekend and found a steel nail/screw in their food. Yes, a nail. The waiter/kitchen admitted the nail was from their kitchen and they merely provided two free steak entrees (worth ~$90). They did not even compensate the entire meal (~$250 total meal) let alone provide additional compensation for potentially killing a customer.
