We had a fantastic dinner at La Bohème. Apart from how patient the team were with my very broken Italian (I’m trying to learn), the layout of the restaurant is lovely, with the bar set up on one side and the tables on the other giving a cosy but spacious feel. Then we get to the fantastic food. Sharing a starter with my partner, we also had a gorgeous pizza each and then one of the best desserts I’ve had (I really recommend the panna cotta). The food was served really quickly, as were our drinks and the team were so friendly. We will absolutely be eating here again when we return to Florence.

A Delicious Evening at La Bohème, Florence
If you’re in Florence and craving something casual, creative, and warm — La Bohème is your spot. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a charming bar and lively atmosphere. Further inside, a glowing pizza oven roaring in the corner, and the hum of conversation floating across the room. It’s cozy, modern, and full of life — the kind of place where locals go to relax and tourists feel at ease.
We ordered the Pici con gamberi — a dish that could easily hold its own in any fine-dining restaurant. The thick, hand-rolled pasta had just the right chew, and it was generously layered with sweet, barely poached shrimp, slow-roasted tomatoes, and a bright green herb sauce that added vibrancy without overpowering the dish. A dusting of toasted breadcrumbs gave it crunch and richness. Every bite was unexpected and delicious. You can tell this is a kitchen that has fun with flavor, creating bold, smart, delicious combinations.
The Chianti here is also absolutely exceptional — velvety, rich, and bursting with depth. It elevates the entire meal. And the pistachio dessert? Truly unforgettable. Lusciously creamy with an intense, nutty flavor that melts in the mouth!
The service was warm and relaxed, with just enough attentiveness to make you feel cared for without intruding on the easy vibe.
La Bohème completely charms you. With its relaxed interior and a menu full of fresh surprises, it was one of the most memorable meals we had in Florence. We left full, happy, and looking forward our return visit! I highly recommend having a meal here to anyone visiting Florence!

This place was so good that we came back for the second time. Exceptional service, delicious food and lovely quiet atmosphere. Pizza was brilliant, we had bufala and diavola, both were amazing. I’ve also tried “Pistachio lava cake” and it exceeded all my expectations, the taste, the texture, the flavor – highly recommend!! This restaurant is definitely a place worth coming back!! Thank you

What a perfect restaurant to wind down from the hectic sensory overload that is Florence in summer. Atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and very calm. Service was great. I had the multicolour pesto pizza and it was one of the tastiest pizzas I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend this place.
