This French and Italian restaurant was recommended to us and it truly lived up to the praise. We learned about how Parisians prepare their gnocchi in a different and very special way, and it was such a fun detail to discover while dining. The vibe and decor were amazing and created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and cozy at the same time.

The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, which made the entire experience feel even more welcoming. The chef was wonderful and took the time to share stories about his travels through Italy, which added a personal touch that you do not get everywhere. The pizza that my friends ordered was incredible with a crust that was light, flavorful, and perfectly baked.

Another friend ordered the lasagna and it was unique in the best way with layers that were rich and comforting. The salad was refreshing and balanced out the meal beautifully. I highly recommend this lovely place for anyone who appreciates thoughtful food, warm service, and a memorable dining experience.

This place absolutely lives up to the hype! The restaurant is small and cute, with a European feel and the menu is a treat with each item sounding delicious. We ordered a pizza, the catch of the day and dessert and were very pleased with the entire experience.

We found this via Google Maps. Came with high expectations cause of high reviews.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated in vintage style. The staff were fast, but they were difficult to get attention. Many times we waved at them but they continued chatting with each other.

The food was okay, but they were really overpriced food. I could have the same quality in a less popular town with cheaper prices. I guess this is what you get for a tourist attraction town.

The place is small but so pretty, I went there for breakfast/lunch so it wasn’t crowded. The only thing I would’ve liked is if they had a few more options on the breakfast (maybe more sandwiches or salads). My boyfriend doesn’t like eggs so it was kind of hard for him to choose something and the options were limited. Overall the food was good and would like to try it out for dinner time and check their other food options.

Amazing food spot right by the beach! We didn’t have a reservation, but they were able to let us in with a short wait. Parking was available right outside the restaurant around 6 pm. Vibe inside was great, and food was excellent!! We tried the popular dishes – gnocchi, lasagna, and mushroom pizza – and they didn’t disappoint. The gnocchi was our favorite, so much flavor! Highly recommend ordering this dish if you’re here.

Food was out of sight. Especially the Linguini Pescatori, not your typical red sauce but green. Pizza is also awesome. The wood fired margarita pizza was thin and delicious. The atmosphere was a bit tight and crowded but definetly unique and nice.

I love Carmel and la bicyclette is worth it for the vibes alone.

The restraunt is cozy European like.

I had the lobster rigatoni, miso black cod and chocolate mouse. The cod came with roasted potatoes and sauteed beech mushrooms. The food was delicious albeit the portions were a little small.

Will definitely go back there the next time I am in Carmel.

The food is good and the atmosphere is great. We took the Parisian Gnocchi and Risotto Gamberi. The Gnocchi was excellent and highly recommended. The Risotto is so and so. It is actually a Spanish Paella and not a risotto. So if you like Paella you will like it but it is less of our favorites.

Laura made our meal that much more wonderful with her warmth, benevolence, and kindness – she made it feel like we were having lunch at a friend’s house. Thank you, Laura! You deserve a promotion!!

This is our second trip to this absolutely fabulous French restaurant in Carmel. We ordered the mushrooms, the soup of the day (potato, bacon, leek), the streak frites, the basque pizza, and the creme brûlée. Everything was absolutely flawless and so yummy. You also have to order the famous gnocchi. Some highlights below:

The mushrooms: woodfired and swimming in a garlic herb butter with bread to soak it up.
The basque pizza: don’t sleep on this – definitely add their homemade chili oil. It is too good.
The steak frites: a delicious w poivre sauce that was not too rich. This is just great cooking. Served with spinach and French fries.
The soup: ordered two to go because it was that good. Normally, potato bacon leek soup is way too heavy with too much cream. With was a flavor packed broth yet was so light. I could drink a gallon of it.
Creme brûlée: the creme was ricotta based, a delicious unique touch I really enjoyed.

This is our Favorite place in Carmel – if you’re here for the first time you MUST try.

Also, for anyone who cares, Taylor swift has dined here before
