If I could, I would give 10 stars. Everything was on point and amazing. My husband and I rarely get a “fancy” date night out, and this place exceeded expectations. We ordered 12 oysters as an appetizer, and promptly ordered another 6, as they were so fresh and delicious. Then we had the duck confit, French onion soup, and seared salmon and Wow, it was delicious! To add, the service was on point! Haley was our server, and she could not have been more attentive, and when I asked something she didnt know, she said “I’ll find out for you”. That alone impressed us, as she showed willingness to find out the answer to our question. Even when a separate guest was quite rude to her (as we witnessed) she handled it with grace. I also want to give recognition to Travis, the manager that night, who not only stopped by our table not once, but twice, to check in on us. The food was amazing, but the service really was above and beyond. 10/10 recommend, ask for Haley as your server, and if Travis is the manager, rest assured he will make sure everything is right for you. I look forward to coming back!

This place was so vibey! Upon entering you feel like you’ve descended into an upscale European cafe. The food was most excellent and portions were pretty big. Encourage you to share! We made the mistake of all ordering our own dishes.

I had the mushroom omelet and arugula salad with a crème brulé latte. The omelet was super fluffy and cooked to perfection.

My family had the smash burger and crepe’s. NOBODY was disappointed.

The place is incredible. Such a cozy but upscale environment. Good music playing and the vibes are just wonderful. Had a celebration with my partner and our server Collin took incredible care of us. Very attentive and friendly. The food is just immaculate. The best beef bourguignon I’ve ever had. And that’s over my own. Can’t wait to come back.

We had such a magical date night at La Belle Helene. We got all dressed up, and the lighting in the restaurant was absolutely perfect for photos. Tyler, the hostess, gave us a wonderful table, and our waiter Philip provided just the right amount of attention, enough to make us feel cared for without interrupting the intimacy of the evening.

We started with the oysters, which were phenomenal. For entrees, we had the salmon and the chicken, and both were outstanding. And the petit gâteau au chocolat for dessert was a perfect ending. Truly a 10 out of 10 perfect date night!

We live in Atlanta, but if we were in Charlotte, we would absolutely be regulars. Loved it.

We had a wonderful experience. The food, atmosphere, and service was amazing. For appetizers were tried the French onion soup, pei mussels, and chilled shrimp cocktail. For main we had tried duck a l’orange, bouillabaisse, steak fries, and crispy duck confit. And we had a fries as a shareable. Dessert we had petit gateau au chocolate and le citron. We celebrate a birthday and it was perfect.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try as we’ve tried other French restaurants in the area already and this place is the worse out of all of them. The restaurant and ambience were really nice. Wait staff were good. But I judge a restaurant by the quality of their food. The food was not good or tasty like other French restaurants in the area. We ordered the mussels and Crab Louie as appetizers and they were by far better than the main dishes. For the main dishes, we ordered the Duck A L’Orange and it was horrible. It came with maybe 6-7 half slices of very fatty duck breast. The green bean ends were not cut and it was overcooked and mushy, definitely canned beans. The only decent thing on that dish was the potatoes. The other main dish was the Beef BOURGUIGNON. It was over salted and tasted like it’s old meat. Overall I would not return.

We visited Le Belle Helene (Charlotte, NC) on Thanksgiving, 11-27-25. We arrived prior to our 3 PM reservation and sat at the bar for cocktails. The atmosphere is elegant, but relaxed. The restaurant was well attended yet it wasn’t noisy or distracting. We had her drinks at the bar and then proceeded to be seated at our table. It was a PRIX-FIXE menu with A choice of an appetizer, and entrée, and a dessert. The first course choices were pumpkin soup with the marmalade, juniper, cream and dried sage, or false salad with butternut squash, purée, golden raisins, Gruyère, apple cider vinaigrette, or beef tartare with egg yolk, arugula, and baguette. The main courses were turkey dinner with rotisserie turkey, brioche stuffing, green bean almondine, Pommes purée, Veloute, in cranberry sauce, or Gnocchi Parisienne, with wild mushroom, kale, double cream, Pedro Ximenez Gastrique, or New York strip with sweet potato, cranberry and garlic, Demi, and brussels sprouts, or salmon à la Plancha with brown butter, seared salmon, sautéed kale and sauce Vierge. The dessert choices were Citrouille espresso Cremeux, with Pepita’s crumble, or Spiced up apple cake with butternut squash Cremeux, Demerara crumble, or Chai Panna, cotta, roasted sweet potatoes and oats, streusel, or the chef’s collection of ice cream and sorbet. My wife and daughter both got the Turkey entrée, we all ordered a salad as the first course. I ordered the salmon entree. For dessert, my wife ordered the Spiced Up apple cake with butternut squash Cremeux, Demerara, and my daughter an I ordered Chai Panna, cotta, roasted sweet potatoes and oats, streusel with an incredible salted Carmel sauce!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish!

The food was outstanding — beautifully plated, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The meat was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and juicy, and the desserts were next-level delicious and elegant.

Service was exceptional: friendly, attentive, and very professional without ever feeling rushed. The staff was knowledgeable, gave great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcomed.

The atmosphere is stylish, cozy, and perfect for a date night or a special evening out. This place truly stands out — one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

Very much enjoyed this restaurant. We just popped in for a drink and ended up having a charcuterie board and French onion soup. The soup was a little sweeter than I am use to but still good. The best part was our bartender Ari! She sweet kind and we had a great time chatting.

I was so looking forward to coming here with my partner on Valentine’s Day. We got a babysitter for a few hours specifically so we could come to this restaurant and enjoy our time. Unfortunately that was not the case, our server Justin was amazing and you could tell he only wanted to give us the best service. The only thing stopping him was the kitchen. We ordered all of our courses probably 20 minutes after we sat down, we didn’t see the first course until about an hour after we sat down when our plates were cleared and we were waiting another 20-25 minutes for our main courses, at this time I went to find a manager because we were spending our experience wondering where our food was. The manager apologised and told me our food was next to come out, 25 minutes later so thats about 45 minutes between courses our main courses finally came out. I was told by the manager the transition from brunch to dinner was tough because they usually don’t do that. I understand, but as someone who works in customer service I know not to make changes that the restaurant can’t keep up with especially on a busy holiday and especially when people are spending so much money at the establishment. The amount of time and worry it took to have a $115+ per person meal definitely took away from the entire experience. I would’ve rather spent my time at a fast food restaurant if that meant getting my food in a timely matter and not spending my whole “date day” waiting to eat. So disappointed! This photo of our check was taken at 5:35 pm and as you can see we ordered at 3:10 pm. Our whole day was stolen by slow ticket times 🙁
