Searching for a great Italian spot can be hit or miss, but La Bella Vita Ristorante definitely leans toward a hit—especially where the kitchen is concerned.
Here is my breakdown of the experience:
The Food (The Star of the Show)
The kitchen is clearly operating at a high level. Everything we ordered tasted incredibly fresh and was packed with flavor:
Beef Carpaccio: A fantastic way to start. It was light, seasoned perfectly, and great for sharing.
Chicken Piccata: My main was excellent. The tang of the sauce was spot on, and I appreciated that it came with potatoes and spinach rather than just a side of pasta.
Bolognese Lasagna: My wife loved this. It was rich, hearty, and felt like a true labor of love.
Tiramisu: We grabbed this to go, and it was the perfect “round two” for later that night.
Service & Atmosphere
The service was top-tier. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down.
The only minor drawback was the ambiance. While the restaurant is nice, the main dining area felt a bit too bright. A little dimming of the lights would go a long way in making the atmosphere feel as sophisticated as the food tastes.
Verdict: Go for the food and the friendly faces; you won’t be disappointed!

The BEST Italian restaurant in the Springs. I recommend this place to everyone. Such an amazing staff, incredible food, and a wonderful wine selection. The calamari is to die for and the vodka sauce is truly out of this world.

I can see why this place has 5 stars! Everything was so good and you can taste the difference when using fresh pasta! I even took the last piece of the bread to run it through my pasta sauce. My mom left 3 zucchini and my husband cleared his plate too! Did not leave room for dessert. I will say this, if you have an allergy to Fabuloso (the cleaning solution) you might have an issue like I did. I had to take a benadryl just to eat my dinner. I could smell it from outside the restaurant, but we came such a long distance, I didn’t want to not eat here.

My husband and I decided to try La Bella Vita for the first time for our anniversary. It was absolutely delicious! We had amazing service and the food was delicious! We started with a ceasar salad and a side of meatballs and they were both so good! We got lasagna and chicken parm and both were very good. I highly recommend the lasagna! We finished with a canoli and that was also very good!

Traveling from New Jersey, we decided to try some Italian food in the area, and our hotel receptionist recommended La Bella. We’re so glad they did! The food was absolutely delicious, everyone in our group loved their meal. My Chicken Marsala was finger-licking good!
A big thank you to our wonderful server, Merabell, (hopefully I got her name right) who was incredibly kind and attentive. We highly recommend La Bella to anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience.

We were greeted with an unpleasant smell upon arriving and were sat in the main dining room that was bright and lacked ambiance. The space could be improved by closing the blinds, removing the decor (as it doesn’t match the otherwise upscale vibe), playing background music and dimming the lights. We saw a server sweeping the booth seats with a broom, we weren’t offered another drink and our server didn’t check in after we tried our entrees. There’s definitely room for improvement in the front of house but we were pleasantly surprised with the lasagna, sausage and vegetables which saved the experience

I’m absolutely blown away with the amazing 10/10 overall food quality!! I moved to Colorado Springs over 2 years ago from Staten Island New York, and I gave up on finding great quality Italian food from trying so many so called good places around here… Until my friend Jason from Bella’s bagels another great local place recommended me here and wow everything was so incredible including the amazing service from Emily! Thank you so much, and you see me here weekly now!

I would give this a 3.5 due to service & atmosphere. Food was amazing 10/10. Between the appetizer & entrees coming out it was a long wait, not really a big deal. Towards the end of our meal our waiter seemed like he disappeared & stopped coming to check on us. We had to ask flag him down to get the check & asked for a dessert to go. He brought the check after a bit, never returned to pick it up. We had to ask the bus boy at the next table over if he could take it. From the time we got the check, our food boxed to paying & getting our dessert it had been 32 minutes. 32 minutes of us just sitting there with no food in front of us & drinks empty. Total time spent at dinner was 2 hours for 1 app & 2 entrees. This is ridiculous. For this reason, I do not think I would be returning even though the food was amazing. The restaurant Is very loud, there was a birthday party behind us & they were extremely loud that we could not even hold a conversation. Also, food & drinks is fairly priced.

If I could give 10* I would! Emily R was our server, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We shared the Risotto, amazing flavor, salads were very fresh and delicious. I had the Bologense Spaghetti and my wife had the Ravioli special, both dishes were fabulous. What a great Anniversary dinner, thank you. Highly recommend trying this for authentic Italian cuisine.
