Reminded me of my time in Argentina! La Barrita was worth the wait in line. La Barrita’s staff was warm and welcoming, which featured impressive relics of Argentina’s football team and legend.

I tried one of their featured cocktail, Che Boludo was a great start to our night. My husband and I ordered the beef empanada and the Parrilla for two. Everything was spectacular!!! II grew up in a Chilean- Argentinian home and was taken back to my parents homeland. I cant wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Lively atmosphere! Everyone toughed it out in the snow and this place filled up. Started off with hot bread and this olive oil infused with fresh herbs. Drinks were great! I suggest El Muñeco. Fries were hot and crispy! This is one of the best ribeyes in the city! The gnocchi is house-made, can be customized to be tossed in any of their sauces, and is BETTER than Filomena in Georgetown!! Will be back soon!!

This is my second time coming to La Barrita, and it does not disappoint. The food is amazing, the service is great and the drinks are amazing. If I had to recommend some drinks I would def recommend El Superclasico and El Millionario if you’re Mezcal fans. If you love Gin then go for the Che Boludo. I came on a Saturday and Matt was our server and he was awesome!! If you get a chance to come on a Saturday and if you are seated by the window area def. Ask for Matt. Great person and great personality.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Lovely decorations and table setting. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Empanada appetizer (2) came with a mound of garlicky fries (that and a salad would make a good dinner). We also ordered the parrilla/grill for two and it was so much food! Came with the heavenly fries and a nice green salad to cut through the heaviness. Dessert was a sublime crepe filled with dulce de leche (caramel) and a lovely flan. The servers were super friendly and attentive, with an attitude as if they really enjoyed working there. We didn’t have drinks but their wine list looked great and their cocktails were tempting. Great overall experience. I could see myself going regularly if I lived locally. One thing of note: they do not serve coffee or tea. Make a reservation as place is small and fills quickly. Definitely recommend.

Let me explain something here, I go to all sorts of Latin American and South American places when Im in Miami and all I can say is I’d put La Barrita up against any of them. This quaint little Argentinan restaurant is a must try hidden gem in Baltimore.

The food service and atmosphere is everything you could want in a restaurant. Its not cheap but not too overpriced either.

We had the appetizer specials, empanadas and burratta cheese. Outstanding!!! The steak was fantastic and my dish was the seafood risotto which had muscles and chunks of squid in there. It was fabulous and probably one if the best risotto dishes I’ve had.

The flan was also great, while maybe a bit pricey at 15 bucks it was tasty.

Definitely put this on your go to list soon and let me know if this review helped!!!

Came here for a friend’s birthday and definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing and the portions are huge. We split a platter meant for two between three people and still had leftovers. The service was fantastic. They even brought a crème brûlée style crepe for my friend! Highly recommend for a date night.

La Barrita was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The owner made us feel like old friends, and our waiter was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making our meal special. We were lucky to visit on a slower Monday, which made for an even more intimate and personalized dining experience. We originally went for an anniversary dinner, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Oh forgot to include how amazing the food was! The burrata was phenomenal. Gnocchi unmatched and steak cooked and seasoned perfect.

I live in the neighborhood and felt compelled to write a review after seeing another recent review. I come here often – have the Auka Malbec (I usually get the Pinot noir but everyone LOVES the Auka) and get the fettuccine del bosque and *add steak.*

To the patrons who said they were asked to wait and were seated at a “ledge” to face “graffiti”..

Baltimore is constantly revitalizing and that’s a local school in the works – the “graffiti” is actually crochet into the tarp around the construction area contributed to by all my neighbors. I kind of hate it aesthetically but it’s arguably better than the wind-torn black tarp alone and it’s *character.*

The “ledge” is highly sought after off-bar space at the garage style windows – extra lovely when they’re open in warmer months.

This is a small, local *highly regarded* neighborhood establishment and you had to wait like 15 minutes – you could always go to Outback it’s only 10 minutes away.

I’ve eaten here several times and each time it is a 5 star experience. Have yet to try something I don’t like. Tried their seafood risotto special and they nailed it. Other than Marta’s, this is probably the best restaurant in Butchers Hill and one of the best in Baltimore. I highly recommend it and bring people visiting from out of town here all the time.
