Tucked away in Pensacola, La Barra Del Taco is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving bold, authentic Mexican flavors with a modern twist. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Pensacola! I love the lengua tacos, the birria, and the guacamole. Girlfriend loves the 2 for 1 margaritas. People are on here complaining about how the waitstaff doesn’t speak perfect English. When the server and I weren’t understanding eachother, I typed into Google translate. It’s not hard, yall!

The food was amazing. The chips, salsa and bean dip were brought out immediately and they were so good. I had the street tacos asado and they were just like the ones we get in Mexico. My husband got the burrito Loco. Oh my, it was huge and came with a side of queso. It was fantastic. They have Modelo Negro on tap and it was perfect with our meal. I only gave 4 stars for the service because there was a little language barrier with our waitress. The other staff helped explain some of our questions so it wasn’t an issue and she was very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant and will tell everyone we know to come here!

First off they advertise 2 for 1 margaritas. It’s not. It’s buy one at $7 for a small and get another for $3. Second, it’s not super clear that the lunch fajitas on the menu they give you on the weekend is only during the week. I didn’t even see a listing for the regular fajitas There were definitely some communication issues with the server and the manager. I was handed a hot fajita plate across the table very low and accidentally knocked over my margarita I had barely even drunk. We asked if we could get a replacement. They brought another and charged full price for a 2nd margarita. I had to settle after asking for getting the deal for an extra $3 in effect paying $10 for one margarita. The food was decent but not outstanding. I probably won’t be back again.

We were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and came across this great place. The waitress was wonderful. She was very helpful with describing the foods and letting us know about the salsa bar. The table salsa was some of the best I ever had. All the food was so delicious. The owner came by to check on us. Great guy. We will definitely be back!
