One of our friends recommended this bakery, so we decided to order a tres leches cake and we were truly impressed. The cake tasted amazing, with the perfect level of sweetness, not overpowering at all.
When we first arrived, our initial impression from the outside wasn’t the best, but that completely changed the moment we stepped inside. The staff took great care of our order and made the cake exactly the way we wanted.
Overall, a great experience and an even better cake. I would definitely recommend this place!

I am not sure how long this grocery store has been opened. Location wise it’s fairly central off Hopkins downtown on the busy Shady Oak Rod in a strip mall. I happened to drop by to look for an item. I took the opportunity to pick up some Mexican pastries which are fairly good.

Was so excited to find out a Mexican bakery in Hopkins. Don’t just go by the size of the store for they have a decent selection of bakery and grocery items. Even if you dont need Mexican grocery, they have some common staples like tomatoes, onions, cheeses and cilantro for very inexpensive prices.
Staff if very friendly and courteous. Do make a quick trip if you live in Hopkins for an individual dessert or ordering birthday cakes.

Had the BEST experience ordering a last minute tres leches cake here. We are usually not big cake lovers, but when we do eat cake we eat tres leches. I needed a last minute small cake suitable for 3-4 people. All other bakery’s i called said they only made cakes for like 6-10 people, or that i had to place my order days in advance. Also the price ranges i was getting was like $25-$40 for a cake that would have been too big for our liking.
I called La Bamba, explained to them what i needed they said they could do a 6 in cake ready for pick up the SAME day for ONLY $15! Everything went smoothly the cake was ready when they said it would be. The cake was perfect! Moist, not too much icing and the size i wanted. Definitely recommend! (I had already started cutting the cake before i took a pic oops)
