Guac was good.
Salsa was okay, with a hint of spiciness.
Substituted rice for fries (which Id nevrr heard of)
Pollo Poblano has extremely thin chicken slices. The sauce is good, but it overwhelmes the dlavor of the chicken as there seems to be way too much sauce.
There was diced pineapples on the side. That was a first for me and, while I like pineapples, Im not sure the citrus-y acidity partners well with the poblano sauce.
The fries were surprisngly good, but the waitress didn’t bring ketchup with her and there was none at the table. When I finally did ask for ketchup, she brought three packets of the sauce. Not a bottle, but packets – like a cheap fast food option.
The tea – hald and half – was fresh and sweetened perfectly.
One thing I did note was that very few of the restuaruant employees appeared to have any Latin heritage at all. For example, the host was a blonde kid who spoke so low I couldnt barely hear him. My waitress was pleasant.
The decor was … trying. Not ‘trying’ as in exhausting, but ‘trying’ as in making the attempt, but not being super successful. The walls were some sort of burnt orange stucco with lime green alcoves around the booths. If they were going for a Mexican garden style theme, they needed to have dim the lights and bit and change the tile to something more earthy. But, thats my opinion.
All-in-all, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it definitely didn’t meet the “wow” factor I was hoping for. If Im ever theough this are again, I’d try somewhere else first.

Service was great, food was even better, would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. I’m so happy I stopped and ate at this place the food is unique and the service is incredible. They have the best fajitas in Louisiana, with amazing flavor. This is the place to be in Mexico without leaving town and the manager Javier is so friendly as well as the hostesses.

This is the worst Mexican food I have had in Ruston. I ordered the Birria tacos, way over priced and not worth the money. I ordered the kids pizza for my daughter & She threw the whole little pizza away. How do you ruin CHEESE PIZZA?! I got beans & rice on the side & the beans smelled horrible and we’re inedible. I will never order from here again

Food is decent but not the best, there are many Mexican restaurants in the area and to get the business you have to be one of the best. It’s not horrible and I have not seen it busy and which confuses me because if I get something to go it takes a long time to get your order. The workers are very nice though. I have been there a couple times and I’ve had something to go before it hasn’t gotten worse and it hasn’t gotten better. Prices are higher than I feel they should be but that may just be the economy.

Had a great lunch there today . Super attentive and friendly server , seated right away , everyone loved their meal and my Mexican hamburger was really good . Queso was good too . Glad we found a place with good service in that area .
