This is a cute French bakery. I really like the atmosphere where it’s located and the staff is nice. I like their lattes and they’ve had some really interesting pastries and sweets that I want to try like the biscoff cheesecake. Last time I came here I got a lemon tart and a cheese danish, both really good and I’ve also had their breakfast sandwich on a croissant.

This place is amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. The bakery items are delicious and fresh. I would highly recommend the fruit tarts. Their lunch menus is nice. Their chicken salad is so good. The service is fast and friendly. Its a really great place to come have a relaxing lunch.

So much unexploited potential in this place! The pros: decent lunch menu consisting mainly of sandwiches, salads and three options of soup; nice seating area; great (superb, actually) lemon tart. The cons: It’s not that the staff is rude (they are not)… It’s just that most of them are inexperienced or not trained enough, so the service is kind of bland; wait time for espresso beverages at any time is worse than Starbucks at peak time; small variety and no refinement in dough pastries, mostly limited to multiple flavors of cream cheese Danish and three types of croissants (some other options are available but I did not find muffins or chip cookies to be French). A bit pricey for the kind of experience it offers.

French bakery in Memphis area. I visited today to get some breakfast. The French onion soup comes with some slices of baguette. That was fantastic. The croissant was pretty good too. But the best one was the chocolate tart. I asked for another chocolate pastry, however the server lady misunderstood and gave me another one which I discovered after coming home. The chocolate swirl on the tart is made up of real chocolate. It’s not too sweet and tastes very good. I will again go back to try some different stuff. Don’t miss this place, if you are around. They have huge selection of cakes and desserts.

Chips were soggy, no longer serve bread with soup, tomato soup was overly salty, would not toast the croissant for pimento cheese sandwich. worker said “it was already toasted enough”, bought 3 tarts and all three were soggy and not fresh. Barely any meat on ham and cheese sandwich. Have been eating here for 30+years and never had such bad food or service. Hopefully the new owners get this under control. However, for now I would not go back.

My husband just picked up a cake from here. I was quoted a price $48 on the phone when the cake was ordered four days ago. When my husband went to pick up the cake, the price had gone up to $59. There was no mistake on my end as the original price was comparable with cakes of that size that I have ordered from other bakeries. And if the price had increased recently, as they claimed, La Baguette should have acknowledged that it’s possible that the staff member made a mistake with the quote and should have offered some recompense. Lesson to me, always get a written quote. La Baguette, that was terrible customer service. I hope you do better with other customers because you’ve lost this one.

Soup was warm. Cheese in soup did not melt (changed the cheese) and hardly any in it. Pickles were limp and old. Homemade chips were not fresh and soft. Bread no longer comes with the meal. My sandwich had hardly any meat. A total waste of gas. Been a family favorite for many years. Now a total disappointment. Not one of the 9 of us enjoyed the food. The selection of desserts was limited and the tarts pastry was soggy. M husband requested his sandwich to be toasted and we were told by the server, “they said it was toasted enough” and they weren’t going to do it.

My Mom is always talking about this place and I’m glad I finally went! It was delicious! The blackberry macarons were to die for! Also got a strawberry pound cake plus other little pastries. For lunch I had a cup of French onion soup “Chef kiss” can’t wait until I’m able to come back and try some more stuff! Also tried out some fancy bottled water 😉
