A hometown favorite! Although I haven’t lived in Michigan for a number of years, having some “back home staples” always puts you in a time machine to the good Ole days.
La Azteca gets it right everytime, and have been a staple in the city for decades. I’ve never ordered anything outside of the tacos. This order is “6 fried hard with cheese”, and they definitely hit the spot. Make sure to get the hot sauce

WAITRESS WAS NICE. THEY WERE OUT OF TAMOLLIS AT 4.25 ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. I CHANGED MY ORDER TO FIND OUT THEY WERE ALSO OUT OF STEW MEAT. COKE WAS FLAT. THE WAITRESS BROUGHT US OUT FRESH DRINKS WITHOUT ME ASKING BECAUSE SHE KNEW THEY WERE CHANGING THE CARBONATION TANK. Overall, I WAS LESS THAN IMPRESSED.

I ordered 4 medium tacos with cheese. I went to pick up my food and I saw they charged me $2.25 per taco. The menu price is $2.15 per taco. When I questioned why I was charged .10 extra per taco this could not explain the reason. Instead of giving me my .40 they made me give my food back and gave me a full refund. I said I only wanted my .40 she told me they told her to give me a full refund and take the tacos back. I will also be contacting the attorney general’s office.

We have loved this place for years. They have been my comfort food through a lot. Hours only stated they closed at 9:00 pm this evening and walked in at 7:44 pm. Checked both doors for last seating. Did not find any mention of last seating. Was a line at the register so we went to a table. After a moment we were told that the last table of the night was a lady next to us. Then the employee went into the kitchen. The rudeness was a lot. Wasn’t offered an apology or even to place a to go order. The service has always been lacking but I couldn’t over look it tonight.

The food was grat as usual. My only suggestion would be that the online hours match the actual operating hours. I had to wait an hour after the time i scheduled for pickup. I did receive a text update.

I was told, I could not have ketchup for my fries because I ordered takeout. Even when I offered however much more money, even an obscene amount, I was told told no. I did however get a dirty look, and a blank stare from two of the employees. What planet am I on? I understand this is a mexican restaurant, but I will remind you, this was an advertised special of wing dings and fries that’s been running on Door Dash for weeks. Next time I think about giving my money up to this place, I’ll consider traveling to Mars instead. Sadly, I wonder if they will have the same look on their face when they can’t cover the overhead and have no other option but to close their doors. Take your money somewhere that wants your business, because this place does not.

Ordered 3 medium shell tacos with cheese and received completely cold tacos that were all melded together the shells were supposed to be medium but were extremely soft and all of the tacos completely crumbled apart and were not edible.

I love this restaurant, from Arizona to Colorado. There has not been another restaurant I can say has the best tacos. From the old owners to the new owner since 98, the food has not changed. I come home and my first stop is La Azteca Taco House. Will you deliver to Colorado.

Just spent $100 for food here and it was absolutely disgusting. Asked for med hard tacos and got raw tacos. Checked them as soon as we got them and because the “cook” said he made them medium we are now having to get raw tacos . Absolutely ridiculous.
