Very good food and pastries! Other Mexican products are available for sale from shelf and refrigerated food items to statues of Our Lady of Guadalupe to other decorative items. They only make food Saturday-Sunday, but so worth the wait! I tried Huaraches, tacos de buche, cuerito, carne enchilada, tamales, I can say everything tasted so delicious and most importantly, authentic! The salsas were perfect! We also bought a variety of pan dulces. Sometimes it’s hard to find a good authentic Mexican food place and although we have found a couple in Dutchess, this place is our favorite. We highly suggest it!

My go to place for tamales on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. On those days, you can have your choice of red, green, or mixed for $3.50 each. I find it hard to keep from opening the container and eating them as I drive home on the Thruway. The other baked goods smell quite nice, also.

One of my occasional guilty pleasures. If you do not speak spanish, write down what you want on a card, e.g. 10 tamales rojos.

Brand new to the area but I would say this is the best panaderia within a 20 mile radius if not more than that.

I honestly don’t know about the bakery side here but it’s also a deli and a little restaurant in the back. I discovered this purely from my mothers doing. In the back if you get here early in the morning on the weekends you may be able to experience their delicious tamales. They make a huge batch and sell them pretty inexpensively but they are absolutely delicious! Buy several and save the rest to eat later. You won’t regret it!

Excellent selections of Mexican cuisine items within the grocery section. The bakery section has so many pastries to choose from. The tacos and tamales are superb!

Have been visiting this place for a few years strictly for their tamales. About two years ago the cook left and their tamales slowly went downhill. I stopped by this morning at 8:45 to buy a dozen for my brother who is visiting from Florida. I asked for a dozen assorted tamales and was told they were not ready until after 9am. BUT they had chicken tamales. Ok that’s fine I’ll take z dozen I said. Well I got home the tamales tasted extra salty and not ver good. Maybes I got leftovers?
NEVER going back. I’ll buy at Lis Portales from now on. They’re very consistent and fast.
‘Bye, Amistad!
