One of my favorite breakfast spots in St. Augustine! I met a friend at La Amapola for breakfast recently and just loved this cafe! The vibe is great, the service was quick and friendly, and the El Jefe Breakfast Sandwich and La Amapola Latte were absolutely delicious! They also offer an array of gluten free options too! We will be back often!

Felicia at La Amapola made my birthday so special with the most incredible two-layer Dubai chocolate cake! The cake was not only stunning to look at but also absolutely delicious and so fresh. Everyone at the celebration raved about it — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being too sweet.
You can tell how much love and care went into making it, from the presentation to the taste. It was truly the highlight of the dessert table, and I couldn’t have asked for a better cake for such a special day. Thank you, Felicia, for creating something so memorable! Highly recommend La Amapola desserts for any special occasion.

I’m so glad we finally stopped by La Amapola Café! The food was amazing—especially the Pollo al Ajillo with arroz mamposteo and maduros. Everything was so flavorful and comforting, like a home-cooked meal made with love.
We also tried the Dubai chocolate cake and it was incredible—so rich and moist! I’m already dreaming about having it again for my birthday next month
The café has such a peaceful vibe, with beautiful decor and friendly people. You can tell a lot of heart goes into this place.
If you haven’t been yet, definitely go! You’ll fall in love with the food and the atmosphere.

La Amapola Cafe is a great local spot in St. Augustine. The coffee is excellent, the pastries are fresh and flavorful, and the food is consistently solid for both breakfast and lunch.
