Had lunch there on 8/5/25. Cheeseburger and Mac ‘N Cheese bites. Both were delicious. No alcohol, so I can’t comment on that. Wait staff was good and food arrived quick. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity of Rio, WI.

Bad service bad food overpriced food for food i could make with my eyes closed. Arrived at 5:30 got drinks 6:15 got food at 7. still raw and unmelted cheese. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY

Staff are complete idiots.
Went in for lunch with my dad and I forgot my ID. Which sucked but I was fine getting a soda.
As I was asking what they had when the Bartender proceeed to make the alcoholic drink I ordered. AFTER I was honest about not having my ID.
Only to get us scolded by someone else entirely. Not sure who it was or if it was a manager. I was so embarrassed we ended up leaving without lunch. Wasted two drinks. My dad even paid for his, don’t even think he got a drink out of it.
All because they didn’t just give me their options for soda. Never going back. And if you’re smart I wouldn’t even go in the first place. Can’t even believe I chose them.

Great little tavern in Rio! Excellent bar burger with good French fries! Reasonable prices. Get a burger and a beer for less than $15! Great service with a smile!

Hometown bar … My husband and I had the shrimp basket and drinks..excellent meal and service! Prices great! And I always run into at least one old classmate n friends we live in Eau Claire now and don’t get down home often enough.

Our bartender was rude and clearly didn’t want to provide us with service. She made it clear that we were not welcome. Our food was bland and our service was worse. The only thing decent was the location and the bar itself was nice enough. The fries are gross and since when does a grilled cheese come on a hamburger bun.

The absolute BEST food in Rio, best bar burger I’ve probably ever had, super friendly staff. Friday fish fry is great too. You can’t go wrong with anything they offer.
