I had high expectations going in, but the experience fell short. The macaroni salad was bland and lacked depth, while the chicken had an off flavor reminiscent of oil that hadn’t been refreshed, which ultimately compromised the dish. The Google reviews set expectations much higher than what was delivered. Overall, I’d rate it a 4 out of 10.

We stop here on a regular for family dinners.
They have solid food with a lot of options such as the extra Chinese food flare dishes.
My son loves the burger and the teriyaki beef or chicken bowl. Two of my favorites are the mochiko chicken and the pork chops.
Surprisingly, the ward area does not have a lot of late night spots, but this is one of the few. Well technically it’s only open until 9p., still later than most spots.
The typical server/host is always so friendly and helpful.

L&L doesn’t have to go this hard, but it always does. Super easy and timely app orders with a good point system & freebies. The salads are always impressively fresh with multicolored cherry tomatoes and addictive dressing, and the shrimp goes OFF. Gotta pace myself so I don’t run through their menu!

I respect this restaurant’s concept and long history. However, I wonder who is currently managing it. As the number of branches increases, I’m concerned whether the current management team possesses the same passion and enthusiasm as the founders. I think this is a common challenge for many restaurants. To be honest, I find the service and manners at this particular location to be very rude. I’ve been a customer many times, but because the food service is slow and orders are often incorrect, I now use takeout to avoid unpleasant experiences.

local fav with huge portions! if you get a regular size plate, theres really enuff protein for two adults. maybe get one plus extra side and you got yourself +1 a hearty meal. so kudos for being a bargain meal in the middle of ward center. This branch has a large dining area thats pretty clean. also the cooks at this branch make really solid chinese diner style stuff like sweet and sour chicken or pork. aloha homies.

This L&L got a facelift recently, so it looks a lot better than it used to. Overall the food is decent. They have a lot of special menu items that you can’t get at other locations. I got the Fried Garlic Chicken and it was tasty and extremely garlicky. Bring gum and/or mints for after the meal!

Best place to grab a bite after going to Ala Moana, Beach Park. May be the best L&L on the island. Don’t go to the ones at the beach park. Go to this one.

The portions are large, but not a lot of flavor or sauce is included. The fries were dry and tasteless too. The wait was about 20 minutes with a line. 3.5 stars compared to other restaurants we have had.
