It sounds like this place is closed indefinitely. With that said, I’ll tell you what I remember. A few bartenders and I would get together Saturdays or Sundays and order pasta here. We loved it. Now this was 2007-2009ish era, so I’m aware things change over time. It’s a shame, really. I’d always order the Lasagna Bolognese and, still to this day, I compare other lasagnas to the one they served here. It was piping hot, fresh and hit all of the notes you’d imagine from a classic. Just a straight forward, in your face lasagna. Some other great dishes were the Frutti del Mare and the gnocchi was fantastic.

The service was terrible. I have been there a few times and every time, the service is slow. It has never been busy when i’ve been there but still takes a really long time to even be acknowledged by a server. Last time I was there we were seated right away and then waited 10 minutes and not one server that walked by (they walked by at least 5 times) did they acknowledge us or ask if we wanted something to drink. If it had been really busy I would have understood, but there were less than 5 other tables of people. And all they would have had to do was just say someone will be with you in a minute but nope. They would just walk by and keep going. We ended up leaving because we didn’t want to have to wait any longer. The previous times we had been there and actually ate, the food was good but just not worth the crappy service. In a customer service industry, that is a very important feature for me to get. And getting absolutely no customer service at all, I will never go back again.

Honestly. I’m not a complainer but this was horrible. I am currently here for the dierks Bentley concert, speedway was packed, so we thought we’d head over to l bistro.
Fist the host tried to sit me almost litterally on top of another table while there was 9 other open tables open.
So we said we would sit at the bar. So we sit down order a bud light and coors light. Both tasted off, so I told the girl waitress I think I got the wrong beer. She was nice and switched it out. Still bad. Turns out they are all flat. The ladies next to us asked us if our was flat also. so they gave us bottles.
Ok so food not good. Couldn’t even bite through my chicken Parmesan sandwich and wings. Could have cooked better at home.
So On top of all of this 3 different people from
Different tables had to come to the bar to order their own drinks! No service at multiple tables.
So I took it upon my self to let the hostess know there was a few tables mad that they had not even ordered drinks yet. She said she was new and they were short staffed.
The bartender just asked how our food was. Told him honestly not good. No response.
So needless to say. I’ll wait an hour at the speedway or eat pizza next time.

This place was dead on a Saturday night, they had a group of really old folks in the back (where they sat us and kept the front empty). The rap performance was pretty bad but started half hour late because no one was there. $8 for a normal slice of cheesecake dessert. Poor service despite the lack of other customers, and the food quality was poor.

Staying at canad inn. Ordered for in our room. Terrible. The food was just awful, nothing as described. The linguine came as mushy spaghetti… Everything we ordered went to the trash unfortunately and we got a refund ( the woman I spoke with there was nice and helpful) Papa John’s was, believe it or not, a better option for delivery

For grand forks it’s one of the better restaurants. The food is always great particularly bruschetta, their pizzas and their fried olives. However expect service to be slow, even if you are the only group in there. It’s just the way it is… But have a drink in between and you’ll be fine.

While service was friendly and timely the food was bland. My husband ordered ahi tuna and it came out smothered in a spaghetti sauce type mush and my portabella ravioli while delicious at the time made me violently ill during the night. It is definately over priced as well… It is a nice little spot to maybe have a drink but not order mains.

My husband and I decided it to give it a try as I was craving italian. The restaurant was empty however the service was superb. Our waiter Anthony was top notch and made our first experience wonderful. Thank you for exceeding our expectations. The food was fabulous and quickly delivered to us! A+

Food was not great. Just ok brought food back to the room instead of eating in the dining room. Maybe would have been better of we ate there. Lovely space that was mostly empty. Which was a shame as it was a cozy atmosphere

Drinks were good but food was questionable… their “chicken wings” were airy and tasted like they were fried in cold grease. 2nd year coming here and food is still just as awful as I remember. Come for the drinks, not for the food.
