We stopped at this small-town diner for breakfast on our way out of town and were pleasantly surprised. The place was very clean, and we were greeted and seated quickly by friendly staff, which made us feel welcome right away.

The food was delicious and the portions were generous — we definitely left full and satisfied. I had the French toast with bacon and hashbrowns, and everything was cooked perfectly with great flavor and hearty portion sizes. My husband ordered the western omelet and really enjoyed it as well.

The prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food we received. Overall, it was a great experience with good food, friendly service, and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. We would definitely stop in again if we’re passing through!

Thank you Lisa!

We love taking the country roads when we’re on a road trip—it’s where the real treasures hide! We’re not just talking quirky diners and charming little stores (though there’s plenty of those); we mean the people, the stories, the art, and the unexpected beauty in every mile. There’s always a story to hear—and a few to tell.

On our long way home, we stumbled upon this gem of a diner, and wow—what a blessing. Think home-cooked goodness, warm Southern hospitality, smiles all around, and a pace slow enough to actually taste your food and your life.

Shoutout to Linda—absolute rockstar. She was flying solo, handling both dine-in and takeout during what can only be described as the sacred Southern time slot between church and lunch. She was calm, kind, and steady, with that gentle smile that says, “Yep, I’ve got this.”

The food? Hit the spot perfectly and kept us happy all the way to the hotel. One more story added to the road trip book—and it came with gravy.

“Had the fried catfish at L & S Diner and it was really good — crispy, tasty, and cooked just right. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.”

Tried L and S Diner for first time. I picked up a Chicken Bacon Ranch Melt, onion rings and an unsweet iced tea to go. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the food was absolutely delicious! As I write this I’m craving that amazing sandwich! I guess I’m going there for lunch today

We come to Dale Hallow every year and camp. We stumbled upon this diner and so glad we did. It blows all the others out of the water! This place is CLEAN! And the food is home cooked goodness! Linda is an awesome and attentive waitress. The picture says it all about our peach cobbler.

Our sister and her daughter live nearby and they wanted us to come and see how amazing y’all are! Unfortunately I didn’t get our waitresses name but she was so kind! We’re all terrible about the way we like things fixed and she wrote it down and read it back to us. She said it says “fixed to order” and it would be. It was perfect! The other waitresses checked on us also making sure everything tasted good and were we enjoying ourselves. Yes indeed! Plus we watched one of the waitresses waiting on a Biker group. They were enjoying themselves! She even took time to take their picture for them. They’re from Texas and staying in the area. We talked to them outside and they said they knew where they would be stopping to eat again. Another older couple (I’m guessing regulars) and a little girl (maybe 4 or 5) came in and the little girl walked around with the waitresses as they took care of patrons. It was so sweet! Then we had the pleasure of meeting the “L” in L and S Diner. Ms Lisa we didn’t mean to make you teary eyed telling you how wonderful your place was! Every town should have a little restaurant like yours! Your love is shown through your employees and that’s a real compliment to you! We’ll be back to visit you because you have become part of our family!
