First time trying a tlayuda and it didn’t disappoint. The portion is huge and perfect for sharing between two. Good food and good service.

I love it here!! The food is always so delicious, and the servers are warm and welcoming. My go to is the carne asada plate! It’s huge and portioned so generously. Not to mention the carne asada is SO FLAVORFUL. I even have some to take home for later. If you haven’t been here before or thinking of coming in, you will have the best experience ✨

My first visit to this fantastic restaurant was truly unforgettable. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. Our waitress, Guadalupe, was exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive, which made our meal even more enjoyable. The food was simply delicious—I tried the Tlayuda, and it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Everything went smoothly and flawlessly from start to finish. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!

L.A. Oaxaca had ample available seats and great service when we got there around 6PM. the server was extremely patient with my dietary needs (i eat gluten free). he went as far as asking the chef to confirm if items were gluten free and if they could be fried separately since i asked about shared fryers with gluten items. the food was amazing! i felt transported to Oaxaca because the food was just so authentic and phenomenal. we got: champurrado, horchata (non-dairy), handmade tortilla, taquitos dorados, chicken enchiladas with mole and tlayuda with mole and cheese. there are plenty of vegetarian, pescatarian and vegan options. i highly recommend this hidden gem not to mention, they provide chips and salsa with complimentary refills!

Servings are large and you can share or have multiple meals. The food is very good depending on what you get. The meats are cooked to perfection. I was not a big fan of two of their vegetarian dishes.

The restaurant is very cozy and cute. It’s like a hole in the wall in fancy wrapping. The food is pretty good. I ordered the cecina with rice and beans. The beans and rice pass the test. The cecina was tasty but a little dry and charred. The camarones a la diabla are very very tasty and spicy. They barely opened today. Our server was very nice. There’s outdoor seating. Meter parking. There’s also free street parking in the adjacent neighborhood.

We were so excited to eat our beautiful food that I forgot to take pictures! But it tasted as good as it looked! We started with the fried quesadilla. Yummy! I had the mole with chicken. My mom had the mojarra frita al mojo de ajo and my husband had the caldo de pollo rojo. All Delicious ! The restaurant was busy when we walked in and our drinks took a minute but it was smooth sailing after that! Our waiter was so nice and he a killer margarita! Thank you, LA Oaxacan! We’ll be back with friends!
