The food was OK, at best. My cousin and I told the waitress we were going to split the meal, which didn’t seem to be a problem. When she asked the waitress if she could charge both of our cards 50/50 the waitress was very rude and gave us an attitude after rolling her eyes and huffed and puffed what I’m sure she thought was silent. My cousin said to just charge it all to mine if it would be a problem and the waitress ignored us and was rude when she brought us the receipts. She even rushed us to sign for them because they had about 15-20 minutes before closing. The only reason why we tipped her was because she was really good about coming back to refill/top off our coffee. We have only been here a couple times and every time the waitress would always be rude. If you want to go to a diner with even better food, cheaper prices, and far superior treatment, go to Dodge Park Coney Island. That’s where my cousin and I always go. The only reason why we didn’t last night was because this place was closer to where we were. Oh, she also reached over the table to clear dishes and our trash while we were eating and talking, which is extremely rude.

I ordered 2 orders of fish and chips to go and specifically asked for it to be cooked well done. I sat down to eat with my family and we were disgusted the order was completely raw in the inside. All but 1 piece out of each order was completely raw. On the outside it looked done but on the inside it was complete raw mush and we were all instantly sick to our stomachs and appetite gone. Obviously, they throw frozen pieces of fish directly into hot oil so it looks done on the outside but on the inside it remains raw. A total waste of $20, we ended throwing away all of it in the garbage. Also, you can taste that they do not change the oil they cook in very often, fish and french fries always have a burnt sour taste from old oil. I have bought food here many times and it is always this way, so it is not like I caught them on a “bad day” or anything like that.

The rule to know if an establishment is clean, is to first check the restrooms. In this case, my first visit to this restaurant will be my last. The ladies restroom had signs over each toilet saying, “Don’t put tissue into the toilet.” Therefore, the stalls had large trash cans next to the toilets to discard used tissue. Needless to say, the restroom smelled like a sewer and there were flies. Please, have your toilets repaired. I ordered food for my client, but seeing as he’s disabled and has never accessed the restrooms, I will refrain from having him use this, one of his favorite lunch stops, until the bathrooms are repaired.

I’ve been here a few times with coworkers. This place is just okay; nothing really stands out. Sometimes service is a little slow or makes mistakes, but they’re okay too. It works well as a lunch option, but it’s not a place I’d come to on my own when there’s better options nearby.

I’ve been going here as long as I been at my Job near by always great food friendly service with the Owner Nick Until recently a few months back …They changed owners and its been downhill since ..I placed a carry-out at 10 am for 11am ..It was a simple order .When I got there my chicken tenders were ready but my Mash Potatoes were not ..waited 10 more minutes and due to a short lunch I asked for fries instead ..The waitress apoligized to me for the potatoes not being ready..she said its not my fault he’s been on his phone all day texting they should of been ready for you … They are closed now until the construction is complete on mound …Hope yall can regroup and get the restaurant back to how good it use to be …Different Cook maybe??
