Erin was spectacular and very knowledgeable of the menu. I really enjoy the nostalgic vibe of the place. It was creally cool. Did not want to leave actually. Very cozy and inviting and she was warm to us. My first time visiting there and will definitely be back sooner than later! Thanks for the wonderful service and memories.

We absolutely LOVE this eclectic Cafe! Fabulous service, fantastic owners, delicious food, and the best original coffees, what more could you ask for? Plus, so many fun, cool items to shop while you wait for your order to be freshly made! We highly recommend you stop in here for a wonderful experience!

Update: came back a second time for actual breakfast. I ordered the LA Garden Omelette and it was good. I liked how the ingreditants were incorporated into the omelette. My boyfriend ordered the biscuit and gravy breakfast burrito and it was gross. There was a very thin layer of eggs and it was complete stuffed with undercooked hashbrowns. I do not recommend getting it.
Our drinks though were again good and service was also good.

The place as a whole is small but very cute. We stopped hoping to get breakfast to go, but it was a 30 minute wait so we settled on coffee to go and two scones.

The staff were friendly and helpful!

The scones honestly were not great. I felt they were a bit dry and had some raw flour inside. Tasted more like a biscuit. The coffee we ordered was good though. We need to go back for breakfast.

LA Café is hands-down one of my favorite spots in the Waterford/Clarkston area. I love the eclectic vibe — the colorful building, the creative energy inside, and the welcoming atmosphere make it such a fun place to meet friends or grab coffee.
The food never disappoints. I’ve had their breakfast, sandwiches, and multiple coffee drinks, and everything has been consistently delicious. I also really appreciate that they offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options — it makes it easy for everyone to find something they’ll love.
Located at the bottom of Waterford Hill, right on the border of Waterford and Clarkston, it’s such a gem in the community. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee or sitting down for a full meal, LA Café delivers every time. Highly recommend!

L.A. Cafe gave us such a wonderful brunch experience! We came as a large party (without a reservation), and the staff went above and beyond to make space and ensure we were comfortable. The energy was lively and busy, but never chaotic — very welcoming.

I ordered the hash brown bowl with corned beef, green peppers, and broccoli, plus gluten-free toast and lemonade. The portions were generous, everything was cooked well, and the service was top-notch. Our server took time to double-check food allergies and made sure the kids got what they wanted. It was clear they’re thoughtful about dietary needs, which we deeply appreciate.

The interior is full of nostalgic memorabilia that even had me pointing out things from my childhood. It gave the whole place a personal, cozy charm.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for an allergy-aware, family-friendly breakfast spot!

Jen is always so great to talk to. She’s been my server every time I’ve gone. It is small so sometimes you do have to wait. I went on a Thursday around 1pm and got sat right away. They have really cool jewlery to look at it if you do have to wait. The food is fresh and creative. They have rotating specials. My favorite thing is their premixed pancakes!
