The Arana Family, began firing up the grill for friends and relatives in Mexico back in 1998. With the help and support of Friends and Family they started catering events and parties. Eventually the desire for a better life and new opportunities led the Arana family to pack up and move to the United States in 2010. Once in the States the Arana family kept there passion for cooking and catering going. recipe that started in Grandma’s kitchen back in Mexico would continue to evolve and improve in its new surroundings. Eventually the Arana family (with strong support of satisfied customers) would open La Autentica Birrieria Lunch Truck in North Hollywood, California.

This is the place to go for your Birria tacos. I told myself not to order the Durango XXL taco because it’s too large. Of course, I couldn’t resist. The meat is juicy and tender. Overall the tacos are great the employees are cool too.

L.A. Autentica has raised my expectations for tacos with their amazing birria tacos! It was my first time trying a birria taco (lady was very nice and helpful!) and it has changed my perspective on tacos for the better. Amazing tacos! Just saw this truck here recently and had to give it a try. Had the cabeza soft tacos and it was very tender and flavorful. The tortillas taste handmade and has the softness and moist texture of fresh tortillas. So happy they also offer goat birria, one of my all-time favorites, they also have beef if that’s your thing. Their crunchy tacos are a welcomed change from soft tacos. Will be back for more.

Phenomenal. Birria tacos and birria vampiros bomb. My buddy was raving about the asada vampiro. Excellent red and green salsa, and they give you ample baggies of chopped onions and cilantro. Will definitely be back.
