My friend and I have seen this place all over TikTok recently and decided what the heck, let’s give it a go!
First of all, we were greeted politely/warmly upon walking in (which is underrated )and absolutely set the tone and made us feel super welcome. This place not only smelled and looked clean, but the smell of fried food and broth hit us like a truck in the best way possible! Had us both drooling.
The layout/atmosphere was incredible. It’s such a clean esthetic and the natural light was incredible. Impeccably decorated.
We were sat in a tucked away private booth which was also appreciated since it was our first time. We were served by Mac who was so incredibly sweet and patient, as we had so many questions about the menu. She walked us through portion sizes and double checked that I was okay with spicy (I ordered a YinYang bowl, can’t recommend it enough, spice level was perfect but is also customizable at the table with extra types of chili flakes at your disposal) and made sure we were taken care of.
Our food (we ordered a decent bit to explore the menu) came out within 7 minutes of ordering – the speed had us flabbergasted. My friend ordered a black garlic tonkatsu ramen and the broth was incredible. We also ordered one of each of the bao buns (chicken and pork) and both were incredible, but pork definitely won that fight.
The honeycomb platter is the best way to explore some of the sides. The favorite part of that was the takoyaki (but truly everything was delicious, especially the buttery shrimp tempura and the edamame).
We will absolutely be back to try more things (the omurice looks incredible) and bring back more of our friends. This place definitely feels like the new favorite haunt. Can’t wait to come back!

*VEGETARIAN * This is really a nice place to go with family or for date. This place has nice vibe unique seating. And all the people works here are really nice and professional.
Great service.
Lets talk about food. I ordered Veggie ramen.
Ramen taste good all the toppings tasted great too . But i feel like soup broth would have been little more then what they provide right now. That would balance the toppings and broth evenly.

My wife and her family really enjoy going to this place. I really enjoyed the Ramen that I picked out. I had a strong seafood flavor that reminded me of Ramen in Japan. When my wife order the Omurice, the server split the rice to reveal the perfectly runny cooked scrambled egg. We also enjoy the yakitori skewers. And adds just a little something special to the meal. With the omurice combo came the choice of a dessert. My wife did not particularly care for the cherry blossom dessert. Much of the flavoring actually comes from the syrup, which she described as bubblegum-like, which is not the most raving review of a dessert. I highly recommend the restaurant for a bowl of Ramen in a really cool vibes place.

Came here for a quick lunch. Was sat immediately in the honeycomb section. Very nice. Atmosphere was great. The host and server were nice. They have two menus. One for drinks and one for food. Lots of options to choose from. I got the strawberry lemonade for my drink, the smashed cucumbers and the spicy chili wings for my starter. They were okay. I also got the Kyushu spicy ramen for my entree and it was pretty good however I added lots of the spices on the table to give it a little more umph. All in all I would return.

Decided to give this new ramen place a try with a group of 6 during lunch time and they accommodated us very well. We started off with a couple appetizers that included the honeycomb platter, spicy chilli smashed cucumber (spicy), yakitori platter, fried Gyoza, all of them where excellent in flavor and freshness. We moved on to our induvual ramen servings, a couple of us got a combo which is a great deal it come with a mini appetizers and desserts. Each ramen’s broth base was exceptional in flavor and quality. The service was great and prompted. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in a cute restaurant in Japan! Decorations and ombionce. 10/10 would recommend.

Went to Kyuramen to check off one more food off my bucket list… Omurice.
I walked in, and signed up on the tablet for wait-list. 10 parties ahead not too bad. We ended up getting a couple of bar seats.
Ordered the wings appetizer and the popcorn chicken. Food came out quickly which is always good. Wings were flavorful and very crispy, but a bit expensive. You get 4 small wings for $10 bucks. Popcorn chicken was also good.
Then came the omurice with the curry sauce. It was pretty good, but eating the omurice was a very different experience. The consistency was unusual, but glad I tried it.
The desserts were ok, but I wasn’t overly crazy about them. I would give this place a 3.5/5 stars.

Kyuramen x TBaar is a restaurant tucked away from the busier area of Vernon Hills. We were a party of three that dined in on a Sunday early evening and had a wait of no more than 10 minutes. I don’t believe there is a reservation system but I could be wrong. The layout is interesting. There is an open area with tables as well as semi private rooms. There are also “cubicle” honeycombed shaped booths that add to the vibe. The service is prompt and in fact the booth had buttons for service, order, and to pay if needed. I asked a question to our server about one of the items in comparison to another and her reply was “I’m not sure, sorry.” The server didn’t offer to find out nor did I pursue it any further. This was a little bit of a miss. The appetizers were tasty but slightly expensive for what you get. This location does not serve any alcoholic beverages but has an extensive assortment of boba type drinks, Coke, Diet Coke, & Sprite. The ramen selection is good but in comparison to similar ramen houses, nothing majorly different. The ramen flavors and styles are typical to authentic Japanese variety.

Came a few weeks ago and can’t stop thinking of wanting to come back, so I thought I might as well leave a review. This might be my new favorite Ramen place. All of the staff were great and kept complimenting my outfit. Restaurant looks super elevated and we sat in a private booth. Loved the appetizers. Ramen came out fast and was delicious. Both of our boba drinks were great. Wanted to try the desserts but we were too full, so we can’t wait to come back with friends so that we can try the rest of the menu.

We saw this location on Tik Tok and were very excited to try it. The wait time was reasonable for how busy it was since we went during dinner time. We were seated in the honeycomb seating which offered an aesthetic and comfortable atmosphere to our dinner experience. We got the kabobs as an appetizer which were outstanding. I got the combo 2a which included a bun, tai tea, ramen, and a dessert all for a very reasonable price. My partner got the omelette with pork and it was creamy and delicious. The waitress was so accommodating and attentive. She ensured we had everything we needed and helped us pack up our left overs. We will definitely be returning to this location in the near future. I recommend it to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine.
