The food was pretty good. I ordered dumplings and spring rolls for appetizers before my noodle bowls and they were okay. The dumplings were kind of dry I guess, and too black so my daughter who normally loves dumplings did not like them. The wrapper of the spring rolls was thicker like an egg roll so it wasn’t as light and crispy as the spring rolls I prefer. The popcorn chicken was not super hot when it came out so maybe that’s why I don’t think it was great. It was a little rubbery and dry. My kids did not like it and just ate the extra plan noodles we got.
The ramen was good though, the spicy ramen wasn’t too spicy. I could have bumped it up a notch but I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to eat it all if I chose the hottest hot so we just got the average to try.
Overall this place is near our house and a fun place to sit on and eat so we may be back, but there are better ramen places if you’re into just the food or doing take out. I am giving them a 4 because of the ambience being a 5 and the food 3-3.5.
The service was excellent, and the food came out pretty quickly. Even though my friend and I had never been there before and took our time deciding what to order, the staff was very patient and kind with us.
Out of everything we ordered, the absolute top item was the deep-fried gyoza dumplings. They were so good that we ended up ordering two extra portions to go! XD
The only dish that really disappointed us was the Omurice. Unfortunately, it was quite bland for our taste. It came as a combo with matcha pudding. We honestly couldn’t even eat 10% of the Omurice, but we were still charged for the full plate. So I guess you could say I paid $20 just for the pudding which, to be fair, was actually super delicious!
Overall, it was a great experience because of the atmosphere, service, and those amazing gyoza. I would definitely go back, just not for the Omurice.
On the positive side, the bathrooms were clean, and I appreciated that the stalls had proper doors (not the typical ones with huge gaps where people can see in). The robot server was also pretty cool.
We ordered a mix of small-portion appetizers with about five different items, along with the chicken ramen and the spicy tonkotsu ramen. Everything was delicious, but the chicken nuggets really stood out—crispy, flavorful, and honestly one of my favorite bites of the night.
The ramen was perfect for a cold winter day: rich, comforting, and very satisfying. They also serve house-made spicy radish, which was very spicy but incredibly good. It added a nice kick and paired perfectly with the ramen.
Overall, great food, cozy vibe, and a lovely place to enjoy a meal together. We’ll definitely be coming back next time!
2nd time and loved it again, I missed they have prizes if you finish. Find the red label at bottom. Added fun for us. See image on prizes.
The food came out at a good pace, spicy dumplings and octopus balls as appetizers – delicious.
#1 Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu white garlic and #2 Katsuobushi Pork Ramen – delicious. Note: Nori and bamboo shoots have a peculiar texture and taste.
For dessert we got the Matcha Tiramisu, I liked that it is not overly sweet, but not my wife’s favorite.
Conclusion, we had a great experience, like any other restaurant that showcases the culinary tradition of other countries, you have to go with an open mind and try it.
We ordered: 2 Curry Ramen with Tonkatsu, Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen with White Garlic, Spicy Chili Smashed Cucumber, Spicy Chili Dumplings, and Japanese French Fries.
Note: the chili in both the cucumber and dumplings is incredibly spicy, much more than you’d expect. My friend also got the Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea to go, and it was exceptional. Very much a dessert drink.
