All the food was very flavorful and nicely prepared, the shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy and still beautifully tender on the inside, the popcorn chicken had great seasoning and was also cooked to perfection. But the takoyaki was still a smidgen too doughy and undercooked for my liking.
I really enjoyed my pork ramen, the pork broth was rich and creamy and the pork belly was so melt in your mouth tender and paired wonderfully with the noodles.
Overall really great flavorful food, can’t wait to try more menu items!
On top of that, our hostess ‘Joy’ was the best! So kind and friendly and helpful and just AMAZING!! One might say… she was a joy!
The interior design is classy and trendy with 5 honey comb seating (each accommodates 2 ppl) and 1 bottle shape wooden seating design (accommodating 3-4 ppl). If you want to be seated in these, probably need to come early when they first open.
It’s very spacious inside, the Sakura tree seating area and the high table area are both elegant and perfect for your camera and add more fun and relaxation to the food tasting.
Their combo is a great deal if you are new here and want to try more items.
We love the Sapporo ramen, the broth is so rich and flavorful.
The popcorn chicken is very juicy and with generous portions.
Their spring roll is actually the deep fried egg roll.
The dressing sauce of the jelly dessert is kinda like mango peach, fresh and sweet. The matcha pudding with red bean comes with creamy dressing, but it’s probably more to the adults’ taste buds, on the bitter side, and it’s very firm, not really like pudding or crème Brulee.
Their T bar drinks are very good, no menu on their website, but they do have menu on site. I’m not a fan of jelly but their jelly inside the drinks are very good with different texture from regular boba shops.
They also have 3 different hot sauces for your preference, one of them looks really tasty and special.
We already plan to bring more family and friends over and try their other ramens and of course the famous omurice.
I tried this chain before in Texas, so I kind of had expectations, and they hit the mark. I got the chicken ramen and the broth was hearty and full of flavor. Noodles were chewy in a good way and the bowl looked clean and well put together. Only thing I wish is that they gave a little more meat, but overall it was a solid 8 out of 10. Since they just opened, I wasn’t expecting perfection, but they did a good job especially with how busy they already were.
I also tried the omurice with pork katsu. The presentation was super similar to Japan which I liked a lot. Flavor wise, I’d give it a 7 out of 10. The fried rice inside felt a bit dry and the katsu wasn’t a fresh cutlet. It still had a crunch, but the meat portion inside was pretty small. For dessert, they gave me matcha pudding and that was about a 7.5 out of 10. Pretty solid and a nice way to end the meal.
Overall, this spot has a ton of potential. The service, the vibe, and the aesthetic are already top tier, especially for a grand opening. Food is good and with a little more refinement it can easily hit that next level. Even with a few things that could be tweaked, I still want them to do well, and I’d honestly come back again for sure. For that reason, I’m giving them a 5 star review.
Basically, this is a new spot and we ended up waiting an hour and a half to get seated. We had 2 kids with us and was told the wait would be 40 minutes. 40 mins is a bit of a wait but as a group we decided to wait- had we known it was going to be 1:30, we would have come back later or gone somewhere else. Also there was a really bad smell which might have been a sewer issue, but no one else seemed to notice the smell so ♀️.
But the ramen was amazing!!! And the lemonade also amazing!! And the bao buns amazing! And the servers (who I think were understaffed) were amazing!!
I ordered the supreme combo which was $26.99. You get a steamed pork bao bun, tonkotsu ramen, matcha pudding with red bean, and a Thai iced tea. All I have to say is that everything I tried makes me want to return again.
The bao bun was nicely steamed where the bun itself was moist but not soggy and the pork itself was juicy. The slaw inside had a tasty dressing.
With the ramen you can choose white garlic or black garlic and I chose the black garlic. The ramen was perfectly portioned to where you will leave satisfied. If you’re able to eat all of your ramen look at the bottom of the bowl because you may win a prize. I won a free Thai iced tea or lemonade for my next visit.
The matcha pudding was delicious. The pudding itself has that classic matcha flavor while the red bean provides the sweetness.
The interior of the restaurant was nicely decorated to where it gives you that vibe like you’re in Japan and the staff were friendly and helpful. I will be back to try their other offerings.
The place is well-lit and the interior is cute. Love the vibe. My friend wanted to sit in the honeycomb area, but all the tables were occupied, so we ended up in the birdcage-style booth instead. Tbh, I liked it way better.
Our server was awesome. She was nice and accommodating. Answered all our questions and gave us a couple of recommendations.
Two of us ordered the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, and the other got the Yinyang Bowl. I had the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice Combo and chose the demi-glace sauce based on our server’s suggestion. We also ordered Shrimp Tempura and Ika Geso Kara-age.
The shoyu ramen had good flavor. It wasn’t too salty or overly heavy like some ramen can be.
The yinyang bowl, as the name suggests, is served in a yin-yang shaped bowl, which is pretty cool. You get to try two different kinds of ramen. Tonkotsu Shoyu on one side and Sapporo Miso Ramen on the other. I wasn’t a fan of the miso ramen though. The flavor just didn’t do it for me.
The omurice, on the other hand, was great. The egg was perfectly cooked. It spread beautifully over the rice once it was sliced, then the sauce was poured on top. Excellent presentation. The pork tonkatsu was tender. By itself, it was a bit bland, but the demi-glace sauce definitely helped make it enjoyable.
The omurice combo also includes a dessert choice of matcha pudding or cherry blossom jelly. Since my friends had been here and liked the cherry blossom jelly, they suggested I get that. It was a small, clear, dome-shaped jelly with a flower inside, and came with syrup to pour on top. It was a good palate cleanser. Lightly sweet and refreshing. Not too shabby.
Overall, it wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t disappointing. Still worth checking out. Just expect a bit of a wait since it’s a new spot and everyone wants to try it.
