This meal was like a roller coaster of flavors in the best possible way! My husband enjoyed the Pure Dawn sake. We started off with the Crispy Sweet Chili Wings, which had more breading and fat than I prefer, but the sauce was amazing. We also had the Yakitori Platter as an appetizer and loved every bite! For an entree, I had the Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen which got more complex, spicy, and delicious the more I ate. There was a perfect spice level, and the pork was perfectly cooked. The portion was very generous. The bamboo shoots had a mushroom texture that I really enjoyed. After a spicy entree, a cold, sweet dessert was in order, and we very much enjoyed both the matcha tiramisu and the Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly. The next time
I’m craving ramen, I’ll definitely be back!

The food was unique and we were able to try several things we had never eaten before. It might have been great but it was unique flavors that made us unsure.

We sat in an enclosed room and had access to wait staff by a button on the wall. They were always prompt and met our needs but we seldom saw the same staff member.

The atmosphere was great! Very unique setting with semi private pods in the shape of honeycomb cells for 2-4. Private rooms resembling traditional Japanese dining rooms for larger groups.

Altogether, it was a great experience.

What a unique place! The interior is clearly inspired by similar restaurants in Japan, with a prayer tree and multi-story honeycomb booths for 2 along one wall. Immediately on the right as you enter is the TBaar counter, which is designed for to-go boba and small bites. The hostess station for table service is further on to the left. It had a few groups, but not overly busy at lunchtime on a Saturday. Staff were friendly and helpful, and food was ready quickly. We were in one of the booths, which also have call buttons for when you’re ready to order or pay. Quite efficient!

Ordered a brown sugar milk tea, fried gyoza, 2 pork bao and 3 chicken bao. The milk tea was great, and you can customize sweetener and ice levels. The gyoza were fried perfectly, and the sauces on top went very well. The bao were clearly high quality, especially the buns, but the flavors were very subtle and they could have used more sauce. For reference, the pork bao are made with pork belly.

what an amazing little gem. Decor was so cute. You can walk in order only your tea grab & go then inside the restaurant is a long bar & dining it’s smaller inside than I thought but definitely still worth a visit – went later in the evening so there was no wait. Now to the food….the food was delicious very flavorful (not just a bowl of unflavored ramen noodles) so I was definitely well pleased! my son had the eel which was also very delicious

I enjoyed the food from this restaurant twice.
One time in the restaurant and one time delivered at home. The restaurant visit was very pleasant. Friendly and attentive service and good atmosphere. The yingyang ramen bowl was very nice. You get two kinds of ramen, perfekt when it’s difficult for you to choose.

The delivery was also great. You are getting everything separately, so everything stays fresh and nice.

Both times quality from the food was great and tasty.
Plenty food, so good price value. We will come back!

My wife & I ate here after our UAB appointment (Feb 24th) as a late Valentines day date after seeing a bunch of videos on social media. It is housed in a beautiful, clean, but slightly compact building. The staff were courteous, helpful, and patient. The diningware was elegant and practical. The drinks from TBaar were delicious (brown sugar bubble milk tea & sea foam green tea are in the accompanying picture; a large Thai milk tea was ordered to go). A brief description of our meal items follows (my wife’s meal is the one pictured):

Creamy udon – savory with spice, noodles tender; taste reminiscent of alfredo sauce but not as heavy
Pork bao bun – delicious pork belly with nice doughy bun
Tonkatsu omurice – enjoyable to watch them cut open the egg; filling with chunks of chicken & onion in rice – probably get it without the fried pork cutlet next time; loved it with the Japanese curry – can’t wait to try it with the demi glaze!
Cherry blossom jelly – light & refreshing dessert; works well as a palate cleanser

Tough to review fairly after having lived (and slurped) ramen as a noodleholic in Japan for almost 20 years, but here goes: nostalgic solid choice w/ spice levels suitable for a cold blustery day. Prices fair. Ample parking. Spacious clean interior with privacy pods (quiter, can accommodate small groups even) that try to emulate Japan (even the open kitchen + counter option is nice). Staff friendly and attentive from hostess to servers. I usually avoid Asian food unless in a big city or along the West Coast for good reason–but was glad we stopped in today.

Love the atmosphere and their honeycomb seating (booths), however couldn’t sit at one without waiting. We had the shrimp tempura (4 pieces), pot stickers which I think have a diff name here, and 2 original chicken ramens. Shrimp was so good, the sauce it came with was sweet, and the shrimp was hot and crunchy. Pot stickers were amazing too, they came with a drizzle of a sweet sauce, however the original chicken ramen was not it. It came with a large piece of seaweed, like 10 pieces of bamboo shoots (did not taste good personally), a slice of chicken. The chicken tasted like it was seasoned with just black pepper, and the broth tasted like bully sticks. If you have a dog and have fed them this, you know what I’m talking about. I have had ramen at many places but the chicken broth here just was very unpleasant. Also had brown sugar boba and a fruity boba. The fruity boba was great with food, while the brown sugar boba was not meant to be eaten with the food as its milk based. It was very good, but I should’ve ordered a fruity base to drink with my food.

I would not recommend the food here to people who do not eat pork as your options are very limited. Out of all of the ramens, they only have a vegetable based one and a chicken one. The chicken came in two options, original and yuzu shio. Almost all of their sides have pork as well. I’d come again but just skip on the ramen.

Absolutely delicious food, beautiful decor and the staff are so so nice and accommodating. I’m hard of hearing, but even so the waitress maintained eye contact so that I could read her lips. We got a variety of food, but my favorite was the pan fried gyoza dumplings!

First time coming. Food was delicious. They were pretty busy so I waited a while for a server. Luckily I sat at the bar. Table wait was a while. The server did not suggest anything when I said I had not been there before. My food came out quickly though. There are signs for free meal if you clean your bowl.
