Great decor with even better food! The popcorn chicken was fantastic! Fried nice and crispy with amazing spices. The ramen was full of rich flavors and a nice portion of noodles. Dessert was incredible! Not very sweet but full of flavor!

Came here on my own and got seated right away as a walk-in. I ordered a combo. The presentation of everything was really lovely. The ramen looked a bit on the smaller side but was still quite filling; the flavor was alright. The Thai tea was a little different from what I had in mind. The shrimp tempura wasn’t like the traditional Japanese style, but it was still pretty tasty in its own way. The matcha crepe cake was nice, and the matcha aroma was really pleasant. The service was warm and attentive enough. Overall, I had a nice experience, even though the ramen itself wasn’t particularly standout.

Long line but you really don’t wait very long on the line, a lot of food options and the food tasted so good with spices in front of you in case you want to add more flavor. My boyfriend got the #2 ramen which was really good but looked nothing like the pictures. I got the diced braised pork don which was extremely good and $14.99! Has a lot of food my boyfriend even wished he ordered it too! Although this took a very long time to come out. Originally my boyfriend wanted to eat with my but after 5 minutes of his ramen coming out the pork don wasn’t out yet and so he started eating without me. By the time he was almost done with his ramen the don finally came out. The Thai tea was really yummy but I wish it came with tapioca. Servers remember what u ordered and bring out the desert you ordered as soon as you finish your food. Overall I would love to come back here.

This was a late night dinner after the Broadway show. We got there on time before it got crowded. They closed late until 1:30am (Sunday). We were seated at a booth towards the back. The booth have a Japanese decor that includes a noren at the door. They also have a call button when you are ready to order. The food came in fast and hot. The ramen broth we ordered was savory and light. Yakitori was okay. The tonkatsu was crispy and well cooked.Banmih pork belly was just enough which was included in the A1 combo. Overall, it was a pleasant and filling late night dinner from the Broadway. Will be one of our go to places when visit Rheather district again. I recommend this place.

I read about the good reviews on this restaurant so I came. I went for the classic tokantsu combo. The flavors were great. My only complaint was that the ramen bowl had only two small pieces of pork. I didn’t think this was sufficient.
The atmosphere is very casual.
Overall , the food was good , but not great. I would still come back here and eat again.

Its good food, fast service without a lot of ceremony. We went to grab something to eat late like at 1am. In 5 minutes we were eating everything good and made to order. We had a meal combo of ramen of chicken and tonkotsu, gyosas, bao buns, desert and drink. Everything was good.

Review: Kyuramen Times Square — Japanese Ramen in a Tea House Atmosphere in the Heart of New York

For this New York trip, one of the places I was really determined to visit was Kyuramen, a famous ramen chain with multiple branches across the US. The Times Square location is particularly hot, being right in the middle of the tourist hub. After getting tired from watching a Broadway show or walking around Times Square, coming here for a hot bowl of ramen is truly satisfying.

Kyuramen is a modern-style Japanese restaurant brand founded in the United States, inspired by Japanese ramen culture and blended with a traditional tea house atmosphere. Its standout feature is the interior design, which is unlike typical ramen shops. It uses warm wood tones, soft lighting, and semi-private booth seating, making the ramen-eating experience unique and very photogenic.

Location
Kyuramen’s Times Square branch is located in Midtown Manhattan, easily within walking distance of Times Square. It’s close to several subway stations, making it very convenient to reach. It’s suitable for both tourists and people working in the area.

Popular Menu Items
Dishes that most people order here include:
• Tonkotsu Ramen – rich, creamy pork bone broth, simmered to perfection with a balanced aroma and richness.
• Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen – adds Japanese-style spiciness for a wake-up call with every slurp.
• Chicken Ramen – for those who don’t eat pork, with a lighter yet flavorful broth.
• Omurice – Japanese-style rice wrapped in an omelette, another signature dish of the restaurant.
• Takoyaki and Karaage – shareable snacks that are great to order for the table.

The ramen noodles are pleasantly chewy, and the bowl size is quite generous, making for a comfortably filling meal.

⏰ Opening Hours
Generally, the Times Square branch is open every day from around 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. On some days, especially during festivals or busy tourist seasons, it may stay open later.

Price
Considering the Times Square location, the prices are mid-range:
• Ramen starts at about $18–$25 per bowl.
• Omurice is around $16–$22.
• Snacks range from about $8–$14.
The portion sizes and quality are reasonable for the price and location.

️ Ambience
What I really like is the atmosphere inside the restaurant. There are wooden booth seating areas that make you feel like you’re dining in a Japanese tea house, offering a sense of privacy even though the restaurant is in the busiest part of New York. It’s suitable for solo dining, couples, or small groups of friends.

✨ Overall Impression

Kyuramen Times Square is a great choice for anyone looking for quality Japanese food in a central big-city location. The flavors are satisfying, the atmosphere is distinctive, and it’s perfect for taking a break after a long day of sightseeing. If you’re tired of Western food and want something warm and comforting to slurp, this is one spot I highly recommend.

My friends and I made a reservation here for 6:30, we were seated immediately. We placed our order and food was out within 10-15 minutes! Super fast service! Food was tasty! I loved it all. Splurge on the Brooklyn Ginger Ale, I bought two! The Omurice looked amazing and was delicious! So was the ramen! I was full and happy after I left.

My friends and I were looking for somewhere to eat that was still open late at night. Luckily, Kyuramen was still open and nearby!

The restaurant is much larger than it looks, which is perfect because there was absolutely no wait time needed! A few of us ordered the limited time Ultraman’s 60th Anniversary special, which was satisfying for a light meal. The special comes with rice, shrimp tempura, pork cutlet, and a pork belly bao! The cheese added to the curry was a nice addition to the usual curry that we order at Kyuramen.

Of course, their vegetables dumpling and ramen are still delicious. I highly recommend going for their ramen, especially the Ying Yang Bowl, which you can get a taste of two for the price of one. If you want a deal stealer, go for their combo. Their combo offers one of their top selling ramen, with an appetizer, dessert, and drink for a fair price!
