I ordered, for pickup, the spicy volcano lunch bento box. I’m not usually a harsh critic of restaurants, but I thought this would be better because the reviews looked pretty good. Was just okay at best. Not terrible, just not good. I’ve gotten takeout bento boxes from other restaurants and they were delicious, but yeah this was a no-go.
The spicy volcano roll was not great. It’s hard to explain it just wasn’t very good. Kind of chewy and hardly anything in it. The miso soup (I love miso!) tasted like water and California roll just tasted like cucumber and avocado. See picture. The salad was literally just iceberg in a hunk. I won’t go on. Even the ginger and the wasabi was bleh.. both dry and kind of shriveled. I was excited because I thought I saw a shumai roll..looked delicious. But then it turned out to be like plantain or something. I definitely did not like it.
When I picked up the order, the hostess was very sweet and grabbed me some yum yum sauce. Anyway, I hate to leave a bad review, but there are definitely some better places around. Just felt like they didn’t put much thought or care into the food.

I have only been here a couple of times for lunch and I must say it is pretty tasty. Both times, I was the only person eating in the restaurant which made me feel very special. I wanted to really love the teriyaki Bento box, but it was a little off. Thinly sliced raw onions were under the cooked chicken and sauce. It didn’t seem like it was cooked in a wok. No char flavor. I did enjoy my food, but I could see where it could be improved upon. My previous visit, I got sushi rolls and they were delicious. I personally think that sushi roll lunch special should come with both miso soup and ginger salad, but it’s one or the other. Overall, I really like this place and will continue to visit for lunch.

i’ve dined in here before and i’ve gotten the steak fried rice and it was delicious. this time however me and my bf got the steak fried rice as takeout and we got the most blandest fried rice ever. i mean no taste at all even with soy sauce except for some burnt veggie pieces. we had to put our own msg in it to salvage it. really disappointed, not sure why the food was so bad as takeout (different chef??) but was good when i dined in. won’t be ordering takeout again.

Edit: Went back and tried the sakura, lobster roll, sunshine roll, and the cheese crab and they all were AMAZING. Quality and flavor were on point. Twin towers and pink lady were also very good.
