I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over a year and regularly order takeout or delivery, usually spending $100 or more per order. Today was a special occasion, so I decided to dine in with my three children for the first time.
Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. From the moment we were seated, I felt a clear sense of annoyance and dissatisfaction from our server once she saw that I had children with me. I chose to ignore it and focus on enjoying our meal.
During our visit, my two-year-old accidentally broke a glass. I immediately apologized and asked if plastic cups were available, but was told they were not. I felt terrible about the situation and left a generous tip specifically because of this.
Despite that, the service throughout our meal remained poor. Our server rarely checked on us, never offered refills, provided only one soy sauce dish for 5 people, and I had to repeatedly ask for items that were part of our order but had not been brought out.
When I paid the bill, I calmly explained that this would likely be my last visit due to the service and how uncomfortable the experience felt. The server stated it wasn’t because of my children but because she had to work late. While I understand that everyone has tough days, personal frustrations should never be taken out on paying customers.
I’ve always enjoyed the food here, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as loyal customers — including families — deserve respectful and attentive service

My boys and I had an exceptional experience even with take-out it was a breeze the hostess was so warm and kind and when we came home to eat little did we know there was an additional surprise que surprise! in our bags we were so delighted thank you so much for the amazing quality service it was a brilliant spark to our day

Kyoto Sushi has been our family’s “go to” sushi spot for almost 10yrs. The food is amazing and the service is second to none.. They always remember us and treat us very well. Tina, our regular waitress, is always so kind and happy. We’ll always be loyal to Kyoto ❤️.

Great sushi place! Have only had take-out from here, and it’s always been great. The sushi is all delicious, and good sized. The Chefs Special rolls are all so good, we love the Volcano Roll!
Tempura is so good here. I love that they give you pieces of broccoli tempura!
The staff are all very friendly, inside is clean and cozy. Will have to dine in here soon!

Nice, quaint lil place found on a major route on 72nd and King George. First time at this place. Take out on a Friday, i only waited 15min. The lady was very friendly and even gave my son a drink while waiting. The portions are SO worth the money! Rolls are huge! Quality of food was really good and presentable. Id definitely come back here again

Its a great place if u want chill a little bit… for take ur meal or dinner… hav good portions and good service… the waiter is a rlly nice guy and kind…. I been here 2 times.. and yep ill continue visiting this place again… just one thing and that’s why I gave 4 starts to the rank… in peak hours or weekends u need one more waiter the last time I been here trust me the guy does everything and was so many ppl that saturday.. we are patient cuz we know one guy for so many ppl was to much… so everything good just this point I think its important…

I ended up with food poisoning.They are not willing to take responsibility for it at all.They tried to say, oh, everything was fresh.We’ll clearly know it’s not because it was all that I ate today and I have had nothing but stomach pain and other issues as well… and also the server had a very annoyed look on her face when she brought me the wrong order.I said I did not order this.And she looked annoyed… i will not be back

Nice looking place. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Lunch bento was HUGE but the overall quality of food was lacking. Flavours were average, and some items were quite salty. The nigiri wasn’t well trimmed (some connective material was still on the tuna, for example). This place would be much better if the fish was fresher and they used a bit less salt in the fried items.
