Super friendly Family ran sushi spot. I’ve been coming here for many years and it’s been very consistent over the years. The sushi is fresh and tastes great and my work orders a chicken teriyaki bowl (cooked) from them that we all love. The parking lot isn’t large but I always seem to find a parking. We will continue to come here for many more years hopefully.

Service was fast and food was delicious. Chef and staff were so kind. They even had dog treats for my pup when I went to pick up my order. Will definitely be coming back! Just to clarify, they do not have outdoor sitting and they only allow service animals inside.

They do not clean their shrimp. That was the main thing I noticed and it’s such a basic part of working with seafood that it ruined everything else for me. Shrimp poop is not supposed to be included with sushi. Gross!

My gf and I have been here too many times to count. I love their tempura and fresh quality of their fish. Whether you decide to dine in or take out this is the only sushi place I recommend to anyone in San Diego. Great value and consistently high quality. Not to mention a family owned business, Mike and Maria are the best!

Kyoto sushi has my heart! I loooove this place. The owners Mike and Maria put their heart and soul into this place and it shows.
This may be the best yellow tail sashimi/nigiri I have had in SD.
Their specialty rolls are out of this world and to top that off, they will make whatever roll you want (as long as they’re not too busy) just tell them your preferences.
This is a weekly spot for me and the misses and whenever family or friends are in town, we will bring them here.
