A fantastic way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. First time to Kyoto Kitchen, we enjoyed a variety of dishes from the à la carte menu. Every dish was beautifully presented tasted amazing and beautifully balanced. Ooh that kimchi…highly recommend you try! We sat in the rear of the restaurant and loved watching chef and team at work. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

The Kyoto Kitchen is a new benchmark for Japenese food!
I know that’s a bold statement, but having experienced their Shintaro Spring Menu – a paired tasting that allowed their outrageously talented chef to showcase his skills, I think that anyone eating here would agree.
All the traditional sushi, sashimi, miso, katsu, etc. are of course available and beautifully prepared & presented, but the innovations and unexpected (yet delicious) taste & texture pairings are what makes the Kyoto Kitchen stand out!
I urge everyone who loves Japanese food, (or is just curious to try) to visit and enjoy a marvellous foodie experience!

We drove 3 hours just to experience these amazing, high-quality dishes again, and it was worth every mile! Charlotte was exceptional at guiding us through the menu and suggesting the best dishes to try, her knowledge really enhanced the meal. Having the fresh wasabi carefully grated at the table was a standout highlight. The food is incredibly fresh, and the authentic flavors took us right back to Japan. A must-visit for anyone who values true Japanese culinary craft.

Charlotte and Kathryn were amazing – very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was exquisite and enough for a full meal (we had the Kyoto tasting menu and sake tasting menu). Well deserved 5 stars!

We popped in for lunch on a Sunday, and it was a very quiet day for the restaurant. We had booked an advance but there were plenty of tables to choose from. We decided to go for the à la cate menu and there was a very good selection to choose from.

We drank tea with our meal and it came with warm cups, which were lovely.

We were really impressed with the quality of the food and it was very delicious. There were tastes that I have not had before and I was particularly impressed with the chicken thighs, the garlic rice and the octopus balls. The fish flakes on top of the octopus balls were absolutely delicious.

The staff were friendly, but we did have to prompt them for more drinks as they did not offer.

Really good food, and nice setting, but tables quite close together so feel like you are part of the next tables conversation.
The taster menu was really good value for money and a good way to try lots of different things. Now we know what we like we will
Go back and try the à la carte.

Food was amazing – been here when it was a smaller restaurant, and I’ve enjoyed it again.

The signature sushi roll was delicious. And I also enjoyed the small plates I ordered: Beef Tataki and Chicken Karagi.

Food was also reasonably priced.

Looking forward to coming back again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Unforgettable Dining Experience

I honestly don’t even know where to begin — this was hands down the best food I’ve ever had in my life. Every single dish was perfection — from the first bite to the last. The flavours were so fresh and beautifully balanced, and you can tell how much care goes into every detail of the presentation.

The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth soft, the sauces were rich but never overpowering, and the dessert was the perfect ending. Every course felt like a little piece of art.

The atmosphere was calm and elegant, the plating was stunning, and the staff were so kind and attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets everything so right — food, service, and overall vibe.

If you’re looking for a meal that truly wows you and leaves you speechless, this is the place. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I’ll be dreaming about this meal for a long time.

This was an unbelievable meal. My best friend have a huge love for sushi so we chose Kyoto kitchen to try less mainstream chain sushi restaurants. The Otoro was out of this world melt in your mouth accompanied with freshly ground wasabi. The homemade soy sauce was just incredible and so flavourful. We also had scallops and aubergine which was delightful to eat. We also had the salmon tartare roll which was easily one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had in my life. The signature roll was tasty however the tuna in it wasn’t raw which was a surprise.
Our waiter was Sul who made the entire experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us get the most out of our order.
Finally we had the banana tempura with rhubarb and rosehip ice cream. We also had a little taste of the salted caramel whisky sauce which was out of this world good.

I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like high quality sushi. Can’t wait to return and try the Omakase.

Thank you Kyoto kitchen

Wow, this is our second visit and it was even better than I had remembered. Super friendly team who looked after us really well and the food was simply amazing. Up there with the best meals I have ever eaten. We were with friends and had two of the set menus along with some other dishes from the a la carte and it was all delicious. Will definitely be back soon and have also found somewhere local to stay which meant we could all enjoy the evening.
