We ate here for our anniversary and the staff made it for a very memorable night especially the young lady that was the sushi chef. I’m sorry that I forgot her name but she took the time to explain the menu, the ordering, and everything else we had questions about, all while still finishing her orders. She went above and beyond. If there where more than five stars she would defiantly receive them. Oh and the food was absolutely amazing.

In my opinion, the best sushi in Oklahoma, and some of the best I’ve had nationwide. Entrees are also quite good, especially the various Katsu dishes, and the wait staff is both friendly and helpful. The owner of the restaurant is quite conscientious and often personally checks on the satisfaction of his patrons. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Jeff “Half & Half” was amazing. Not only was his cooking was second to none, but also he kept the customers highly entertained. His confidence and poise brought a great atmosphere to the restaurant. We will definitely come back and recommend Kyoto solely based upon Jeff. Additionally, the wait staff was extremely friendly, patient and efficient. We immediately felt welcome and apart of the restaurant family. Thank you for the wonderful evening.

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Stillwater. It has the best hibachi grill in Oklahoma. I don’t know what they put in their sauce, but the teriyaki sauce is amazing. They put it on the chicken, shrimp, and scallops, but I would highly recommend it on the steak. A friend of mine in the hotel & restaurant world, told me this place uses the highest quality steaks. I can definitely tell. This place has the best filet mignon. It literally melts in your mouth.

Definately the place to visit while in Stillwater Oklahoma. This might be silly but the salad they give you is to die for. After visiting a few times I do find myself liking cercain chefs over others. The one that strikes me the most is a guy names Thomas.. In my opinion he is the best…He spends more time at the table giving the food a bit more attention and he is very good with children, head egg cracking, bowl catching etc…
Oh, and the plum wine is out of this world….

One wouldn’t necessarily expect Stillwater, Oklahoma to have excellent Japanese food and sushi that holds its own with anywhere in the country, but having had sushi from coast to coast i can safely say that Kyoto does just that.

Over priced food, weak menu, wait staff is so so, portions or acceptable but not generous, and it’s not really all that indistinguishable from cheaper places except for the decore, even then the salt water tank at the entrance seems to not have had any fish in the 4 years I’ve been going there.
