Came in for first time last week. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant looked clean and organized. There is a few tables but is very small. The food was really good. Probably 1 of the best hibachi places we have tried here in Bakersfield. If you are like me, and dont care about the show, and just want some good food, thos place is definitely for you. Definitely recommend this place, and will be back again soon.

The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the prices are very reasonable. Even though it’s hibachi style, it’s a fast casual spot where you order at the counter and they bring the food out in to-go style containers. Everything still tastes just as good as a sit-down hibachi restaurant, sometimes even better.
Their salmon sashimi is the best in town, perfectly fresh every time. The owner truly cares about his customers and it shows. One time part of my delivery order was missed, and instead of just giving me a credit, the owner personally delivered it himself. That kind of service is hard to find.
The owners used to run Akira before the pandemic, and it’s clear they brought that same quality and passion over to Kyoto. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and even better service.

Pretty good for a mostly quick chicken/steak and fried rice place. Steak was better than the chicken because it didnt require sauce. Chicken was good but a bit dry and sauce would have helped. Sauces provided was a HARD pass for me (1 Mustard and 1 Ginger) and definitely keeps this from being 5 stars. I come from the land of Fresno, CA with these amazing hot and spicy sauces that I cannot seem to find any other restaurant has tried to emulate at all. Heck I would take just a solid terakyi sauce. But it was still good enough for me to clean my plate, therefore it has to be 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Although the food is already a bit eaten that’s how my plate looked before I even started. I decided to try a new place for lunch because I was super hungry but even though I was hungry the food tasted so salty I couldn’t even finish it. The man who took my order wasn’t very kind, not rude but not nice. I let him know that it was my first time here so he briefly explained the plate. So I ordered the plate and it was out pretty fast but my food was just so salty. The rice was salty the vegetables were salty and the chicken was salty too. My plate costed 15 dollars and it’s been wasted.

Primarily a take out restaurant with a small bland dining area, with cheesy music playing. I was very pleased and satisfied with the quality and flavor of the food the only two mistakes being the rice in the New York Steak plate was on the salty side, and one of the sushi plates the rice was slightly sloppy in its form although the quality and flavor I was suprised how well everything came together, I would highly recommend trying this restaurant.

the food is okay it doesn’t have a lot of flavor. but the staff is really rude and act like they hate their jobs. i placed a mobile order and came just a few minutes before my pickup time and they guy at the counter gave me attitude and was very rude. don’t work in customer service if you don’t know how to be respectful.
