Portion and price of the food is reflected in the quality ! It is not the best quality of sushi but it is also pretty cheap for the amount of food you get.
You can customize the bento boxes without extra charge.
Service is fast but only one server helping the whole table so we felt bad 🙁 Overall good food for its price and many tabled and private rooms to accomodate to specific requests!

Okay I don’t wanna be rude but the wasabi is like playdough and the cup with water still has seaweed stain on it from the last customer and is obviously not washed properly. Although I can maybe understand that this might not be common, the waitress is not sorry when I told her and the overall service was cold and unwelcoming. About the food, it felt low quality and if anyone wanna come to eat actual Japanese sushi other places might be a better option. If you just want to fill your stomach you can come but otherwise idk. But atleast the decorations are pretty and aesthetic. Hope the food can catch up to be come actual Japanese food.

Me and my Fiancée used to go all the time and I can hands down say this place has both the BEST prices for Japanese food AND best quality Sushi / Sashimi in the Edmonton area. Me and my Fiancée love to go around trying new food and this is one of the places we have made a routine of returning to. Prices just simply can’t be beat which is a cherry on top with such great food. I recommend getting a bento box or one of the Udon bowls.

Loved the food and service was very quick. My only issue is the parking ticket I got (>$90). Apparently I was supposed to register the vehicle and no one in the restaurant mentioned this. I’m not blameless as there are signs to register but on a cold dark and windy night, I missed these. On calling the restaurant for options, they said, I could take the notice to them and they would handle it. I drove back the following day, gave them he notice but it was not handled.
I don’t much mind the notice as I was partly unaware of the policy. My grievance is making me drive back to do nothing about it. Super hesitant to go back to this restaurant now.

I was so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint, the wait time after we ordered was about 15 mins. The flavours of the food is so good! We went with assorted sushi and Unagi was served warm and it was delicious and probably the best one out of all the items that we tried. The place have a lot of tables even for bigger groups, the place was quiet even when pack with people.
The place is close to high level bridge and walterdale bridge which i would say a nice walk after eating here would be nice too.

I’ve been there for three time with friends and this place always have a good quality of food in my view. I always order a bento box with salmon (teriyaki, tempura and sashimi all goes with salmon~yummy) only $22. The price is reasonable for a student. Compared to quality and amount is worthy to try. The bento box served with salad, miso soup and steamed rice a very good combination. They also have a fresh fruit prepared in that box too. The staffs are very nice and the service was excellent. They have a parking lots infront of the restuarant. If you’re living around this area, recommend to try!

I’ve always loved this place—it’s been my favorite spot for as long as I can remember. My father started bringing me here as soon as I could walk, back when it was located on the other side of the complex beside the old Movie Studio (now Remedy).
I recently visited Edmonton again, and after having sushi in many coastal cities, I can confidently say Kyoto still does so much right. I do miss when the salmon skin rolls were tall and flaky enough to fall apart, and when the eel sometimes came out a touch too crispy—but that was part of the charm.
Your Sunday waitress has an incredible work ethic, and it’s great to see this place still thriving after all these years..

For a restaurant like this the prices were unexpectedly reasonable. My huge bowl of rice and beef curry cost 14.50 which I thought was pretty good. The restaurant was well decorated with Japanese cultural symbols, paintings and calligraphy on the walls. I think the food was not exceptional, but it was good (especially after considering the price). The staff are friendly, too.
