Picture shows 2 Philly rolls. I ordered online through their website and the order was ready in 20 min like they said. The prices are a very good value, if I were to buy grocery store sushi, it’d of bean $10 a roll. You can get 4 rolls for $21ish in 2026. The sushi was really good and fresh as well.

Not sure if they changed sushi chefs recently. Been ordering from here for years as one of my favs in this area for taste and price. My last two visits however the rolls I used to get all the time changed and just aren’t hitting the spot. Will probably continue to order every once in a while but I miss the old rolls and definitely don’t crave the new ones. In the attached photos the ones with two per photo are the old ocean, rock n roll, Red Dragon, and seafood rolls. The individual photos are the new ocean, rock n roll, and red dragon rolls. The ocean and red dragon have changed drastically.

I used to frequent this place a lot when I was younger and it was a favorite spot for my family. However, this most recent experience was a little disappointing.
We arrive and were seated promptly. Server gets our drink order. Both sodas are flat. So we order sweet tea.
We order our appetizers and meals. We both order the filet mignon and shrimp entree, an order of gyoza and vegetable tempura

The vegetable tempura was soggy and soft. Did not have the crunch outside I was hoping for. The gyoza was delicious- no complaints there

The soup and salad that comes out was great but the ginger dressing tasted a bit off. Unsure how to word it- it was weirdly sweet

The filet mignon and shrimp entree was okay but it, also, just did not taste as good as i remember

Server was prompt with refills and was super helpful. Atmosphere is nice and calm and not overstimulating

I will most likely come back again and give it another go as maybe it was a bad day

The food was absolutely delicious. Each course was hot and served in a timely manner. Our waiter was very pleasant. The peach Saki was outstanding.

I grew up going to this place and loved it every single time. Haven’t gone in about 6 years, but a friend suggested it for dinner the other night and we went. I was severely disappointed the entire time.

We were sat quickly and the host was very nice. The place looks the same as it did when I was younger, nothing majorly different.

We sat down and it took a while for our server to even come to the table. She was fine. Not overly talkative, but not rude. Slow to bring us things, and generally felt like she didn’t want to be there.

The food? Awful. My friend ordered hibachi and an order of gyoza and I ordered two sushi rolls (Kyoto special and seafood roll). His hibachi order was wrong, and the meat was way overcooked that he did get. The gyoza was never brought to us before his entree. I had to ask about when it was expected to come out probably about 10 mins before we left (we were there for an hour). My sushi came out about 20 mins after his hibachi did, by then he was halfway done with his food. The Kyoto special roll was okay, but the seafood roll was god awful. The meat was gray colored and tasted watery/too much like fish. I’ve never had sushi taste like it just came out the water. It made me sick after we left.

I was really disappointed in this place. It didn’t used to be like this. But now I understand why the parking lot is never full anymore. Would not recommend coming here.

Well this is the first time I’m actually disgusted by their sushi. My roll’s had completely spoiled avocado. Where is the pride in their Japanese cuisine?

Pretty good, depending on what you get. The sushi is excellent – a definite 5 star type item with a HUGE variety of types & styles to meet anyone’s taste & palate, cooked & raw varieties of every style. The eel sauce ( which does NOT contain eels, for those who don’t know) was sweet & savory. I got the shrimp fried rice, which was somewhere between 3 & 4 stars. My wife got the hibachi stir-fried filet mignon, which was tender & good (4 to 5 star). The atmosphere is warm & cozy- very nice decor – and the staff was wonderful, though the table was a bit sticky and our waitress seemed a bit new to the game – but she was attentive despite spilling a little soup at both our table and another customer’s table. I’m sure she’ll get better. The restaurant was clean enough, but seemed a bit borderline. The hallway to the restrooms was cluttered with boxes of stock, and the men’s room again a bit borderline; however, it was late afternoon so they probably hadn’t had a chance to clean. It was okay, though, and Iblame any mess there on sloppy customers – not the staff.
A real gem hidden in plain sight, I would definitely recommend this place for a taste of some authentic Japanese style cusine – and again, I cannot overstate the excellence of their sushi and hibachi dishes. Every time we’ve eaten there the food has been wonderful and portions generous and well priced. Highly recommended for those with a taste for some very excellent Japanese style cuisine.

Always a 10/10 for service, presentation, and quality of food! I usually tend to get the same thing anytime I eat. But, with Kyoto, there are so many things to choose from, I switch it up everytime!

Their sushi is disgusting. Worst sushi I’ve ever had. They don’t know how to fry it correctly plus they melted the cream cheese in it. They should just stick to hibachi
