food was good, i think the taste is better than previous owners, it tastes healthier. portion sizes are generous, delivery is fast, and the owner are nice. chicken and rice still the best, but the thin noodles are so delicious

Fried rice was stale, which happens every so often now. These new owners need to make sure they are using fresh ingredients as this used to be the best place on long island to get fried rice.

I loved this place growing up, I hadn’t had it in a while but was back at my parents in Merrick and we ordered. It was awful. Everything was greasy, under seasoned and oversauced . The only tolerable thing was the wonton soup. The beef in the beef and broccoli was gray and rubbery. The large chicken and string beans barely had any chicken at all and it was sliced in to tiny slivers. They were friendly and it didn’t get me sick. (The only reason they’re getting 2 stars.)

I don’t usually eat Chinese food but today I was feeling it never been here before read good reviews. I ordered the pork fried dumplings absolutely delicious. The wonton soup the broth was superb. I also got the beef and broccoli lunch the fried rice was perfectly way I like it. Great friendly atmosphere highly recommend.

I wish I saw Andrew’s review from late August earlier. Looks like the prior owners (Mary / Tony / David) “retired/sold” the business to another owner. It’s also very deceiving the new owners kept the name Kwik Wok without acknowledging it was under new ownership.
As far as the new food goes, we ordered the following:
– Chicken Lo Mein: Saucier and saltier than before
– Large Chicken and String Beans: Smaller portion than before and there was barely any chicken
– BBQ Spare Ribs: Mixed in old / re-barbecued spare ribs with a newer slab
– Pork Pan Fried Dumplings: Couldn’t tell if that was pork or chicken or something else
And yes, good luck placing an order over the phone. You may have to wait a while for someone to pick up.

Amazing food! Super Quick delivery! We LOVE this place and always order from here! Special orders don’t upset them! I hate onions and they never put them in my dishes! My favorite dish is the black bean sauce. Tonight I got it with roast pork. Yum! You can get it with chicken or shrimp too. Like I said…they totally accommodate! Food is fresh and always hot when delivered! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
