Yummy food, friendly service, and clean restaurant. The biryani was unique, the rice was more plain, but there was like a mini goat stew underneath that brought lots of flavor. There were fried onions on top too, which were extra delicious and unexpected. Beautiful plates too. 5 stars for the taste, I’d give an extra star for having raita as a free side if I could.
The ice cream here is pretty good too. If you’re not South Asian, I bet you’ve never tried the Malai Kulfi flavor. It’s mild and sweet, kinda like vanilla with cardamom.

When I first arrived at Kwality, I was greeted by their staff and not left waiting. She patiently waited while I browsed their in-depth menu full of vegetarian dishes as well as those with meats. I was excited by the menu as they offered lots of selections and pictures matching, which made my eyes very excited.
A short wait, and I first received my sample item : Samosa Chaat.(8$) 2 normal sized Samosas topped with a light yogurt and chutney and sev. The sweet and spicy flavors mellowed by the yogurt complimented those dishes well. I quickly ate this as I wrote the first part of this review.
It took a little longer to receive the meal, which was butter chicken and side of regular naan. While a typical pick, I feel ( I really wanted the Chicken Keema Mattar, next time! ), she recommended the butter as a starter. Price wise, I feel it was a little small for 15$. I’m glad I ordered a starter…. but then I then dip into the meal. The first few bites are amazing. The rich sauce envelopes the chicken. Its bite-sized pieces are tender and flavorful, not too large, and need splitting in the bowl. It was piping hot! They literally made it fresh to order, sooo good! Looking back, I got full and over judged the meals first appearance of small size. It was definitely a solid 9.1

Spices – a rich and lush burst of flavors ranging from sweet to spicy if you like a wide spread.
Overall, it was a great first visit.
They do have ice cream, which I hope to try! As well as take home pints ( 14$ )
Takeaway – I would like to come again soon to try other dishes to compare quality, flavor, and overall experience. Definitely a recommended spot.

Food was delicious, not a big seating area, but perfect, nice and comfy type. Really liked this place, will stop by next time in Bakersfield. And really recommend trying out.

I got to the restaurant as they had just opened so I was the only person there. The staff was very welcoming and I ordered dosa which is my favorite and it was made to perfection and both of the chutneys were delicious.
I am glad they opened this location which is much closer for us to visit.

The cashier at the front desk doesn’t have any work ethics. Very poor customer service. They never smile or greet their customers. The owner needs to talk to his employees about this. At the end of transaction, they dont even say thank you or anything. Very rude. This is not how you run business successfully. Very disappointed.

Be aware that its no longer a pure vegetarian place. Now menu has non veg items as well. Everything else is still the same.
