I finally checked out this spot last weekend after hearing so much about it. A staff member even told me that Pacquiao and Jo Koy eat here whenever they’re in Vegas, and that photos with the owner are on the wall. I only spotted what was supposedly Manny’s mother, though I couldn’t confirm since I don’t know what she looks like. Rumors aside, I’m glad I came because this was some of the best and most authentic Filipino homemade comfort food I’ve ever had.

For $19.99 per person, you get at least 20 freshly made dishes daily, refilled throughout the day, plus fried rice and steamed rice (soda is extra). I came for a late lunch around 2 pm, and the spread was still fresh, full, and delicious, everything from appetizers to mains, soups, and desserts.

What makes it extra fun is the buffet-tapas hybrid: you fill small bowls, arrange them on your tray, and enjoy the meal bite by bite. The fried salted fish/smelt was the highlight for me, crispy and addictive with steamed rice. Another stand-out was the crossover dishes similar to Vietnamese cuisine (at least five mains and two desserts). I especially enjoyed the pickled cabbage soup and the desserts like taro banana and coconut tapioca, which were perfectly cooked and not overly sweet.

Sharing the space right next door is Whip X Bánh Mì, a separate café in its soft-opening phase. They offer fresh made modern Vietnamese coffee, sugarcane juice, coconut water, and Bánh Mì. I ordered the Matcha Sugarcane ($6.49), which was refreshingly delicious, lightly sweet, and balanced, even though I’m not usually a matcha fan, this was a pleasant surprise.

Service was sufficient and friendly for this kind of market-buffet setup. Don’t let the strip mall exterior fool you, this place delivers!

Location perks: about a 15-minute drive from both The Strip and Chinatown, and close to UNLV. I also learned there are a few other locations around Vegas, so if you’re local, I’d love to hear how they compare.

Restrooms: women’s was out of toilet seat covers, men’s was fully stocked.
Parking: free in the strip mall lot.
Hours: open 7 days a week, making it convenient whenever cravings hit.

The $19.99 price is for the Filipino buffet only. All items from Whip X Bánh Mì, like their Vietnamese coffee, sugarcane, coconut water, and drinks such as the Matcha Sugarcane, are separate purchases, since Whip X is its own stand-alone café that simply shares the space with Kusina Ni Lorraine and the market.

Tried Whip x Banh Mi recently and I’ve been obsessed!
The ube coffee is my absolute favorite! super creamy with that perfect strong coffee kick
I also tried the ube cloud (made with coconut water) and it was so refreshing!

Everything here is amazing, from the drinks to the food to the sweetest team.
Definitely check this spot out, you’ll be hooked!

The best tasting Filipino dishes! My friends and my husband ate a late lunch this afternoon that we truly enjoyed. My friend’s husband is Caucasian and he commented on how delicious the food was. All the dishes were laid out neatly and warm. The buffet displayed a variety of typical Pinoy favorites plus desserts. Can’t complain on the price either, you get your money’s worth! A restaurant to visit next time we are in Vegas for sure.

2024-Sept.

Limited parking at the front.

The staff is nice.

The food is delicious!!

$18/person.. well worth it!

The Pinoy drinks are separate.

The women’s restroom has 1 stall and cleanliness can be improved.

There’s a small grocery inside.

Bon Appétit!!

I went to Kusina ni Loraine on Maryland Parkway expecting an enjoyable Filipino buffet experience, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment — and even worse, a health concern. For $19.99, the buffet offered very limited food options, most of which looked old, stale, and clearly reheated from previous days. Nothing tasted fresh, and the overall quality was far below acceptable standards.

What worried me the most was how unsanitary everything appeared. The food temperature, texture, and presentation made me seriously question whether this restaurant is complying with health and food safety regulations. Unfortunately, after eating there, I ended up with diarrhea, which makes me believe that something was definitely not handled properly in the kitchen.

To add to the frustration, they didn’t even offer any dessert — which is disappointing for a buffet charging nearly $20 per person. I strongly warn other consumers not to waste their hard-earned money here. The food is not worth the price, and it could put your health at risk.

This place needs to be inspected by the health department and should take immediate action to improve food safety and cleanliness before continuing to serve customers. I will never return to this restaurant and highly recommend others to stay away for their own safety.

Don’t miss this spot when you’re in Vegas. Awesome food, everything I ever asked for and made me feel like I’m home. Def authentic filipino food just like my grandma made it. Pork blood is made well, it’s rare to find one that tastes decent. Will def come back here whenever in Vegas.

We googled Filipino buffet and found this, not far from the strip.
Foods tastes good and there is a variety to choose from (see photos and video attached in this review). Try their Drinks-melon or sago drink is 3.99 and can takeout. A++

Possibly the best AYCE Filipino buffet I’ve had in Las Vegas. For ~$22, it’s a steal. The food isn’t too greasy or salty compared to other places. I actually got a little teary eyed eating the ginataang kc it reminded me of my aunt’s cooking back in PI.

Please don’t be offended if the interior isn’t up to date or “clean” to the standard of a hotel on the Strip. This is a no frills place that offers cooked Pinoy food with love in a strip mall.

You’re not in the Philippines, but for the price you pay in Vegas, you get to try a bunch of Filipino dishes. Everything on the buffet was tasty and good. But my favorite was definitely the veggie lumpia.
