One of the food trucks in the Maika’i market in the Maui Mall Village and possibly my favourite meal in Maui. Food is made to order so the pork was crispy, juicy and so tender. The fresh onion, tomato, and vinegar dipping sauce balanced the pork’s richness and fattiness beautifully. The people running it are friendly and clearly care that they are serving great food. Huge portion too – it served as both lunch and dinner! Would love to go back and try more things.

It’s real hard to find Filipino food where I live so we had to get some food here. I had the grilled pompano, which took a while because they grilled it to order, but MAN it was SO GOOD. Flakey and crispy with that addicting smokey grill flavor. Paired with the fresh tomato and onion, it was a cycle of delicious-ness. Bite of grilled fish, bite of fresh tomato/onion, rinse & repeat. Add in a bite of rice to reset. My aunt got the crispy pork belly loco moco. The gravy goes real well with the lechon kawali, but it IS a really heavy meal. She was only able to eat about 1/3 of the plate, so it’s great if you want leftovers! The Simply Local shop next door is a nice place to kill time while you wait for your food.

Really good Filipino food. Extra large servings! Freshly cooked so it was a bit of a wait but very much worth the time. Our group of 10 people really enjoyed all the dishes especially the grilled pork, pompano and bangus. Forgot to take photos of the food as we dug right in! Worth the trip! Jayboy himself cooked the dishes then came out to have a nice chat with our group. Friendly guy.

The crispy pork belly with onion and tomatoes was prepared to perfection. The fresh onion and tomatoes set it off perfectly along with the sauces. We got an order of vegi lumpia that was also fantastic.
The wait made it worth it.
Lady next to us said her bbq skewers were so good yesterday she came back today.

Would give this place a 8/5 if I could. Never have I ever had pork as crispy and perfectly cooked as here, from Michelin star restaurants to hole in the wall places in Asia. If I were Anthony Bourdain I’d put this place on the map.

We stopped by on New Years and the owners were closing early but they offered to make us crispy pork with onions and tomatoes because it would be ready fast. We had a fun time watching the chickens nearby.

The food was well worth the wait- made fresh to order, the crispy pork was perfectly salted and incredibly crispy. The chopped onion and tomato salad was a delicious complement. Even the rice was perfectly done. If we’d gotten eggs they would have been perfectly done.

If you’re looking for a perfect foodie experience in Lahaina I’d highly recommend checking this food truck out, then walking half a block to Ululani for outstanding shave ice.

This place is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! (See my pictures)

Great food and very friendly service. You order and he cooks it. Served fresh and hot. Worth the wait even if you are hungry. Google map says location is on the cemetery, but the correct location is actually across inside the small parking lot. We go back every chance we get. Sarap (tasty)!

Update: 07/24/2019

New paint color, new schedule, same owner and quality. Never disappointing and always worth the wait. Same advise, call and order ahead, cash only.

So good! We don’t have much Filipino food in New England so this was a real treat on our visit to Maui. Tried the beef skewer and Tocino, such great flavor, portion size. Def recommend!

Wow, the crispy pork and fried rice were the bomb. Highly recommend those! Crispy pork is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Flavor is amazing. Pork melts in your mouth like butter.

Huge portion size!!! Easy to find in the parking lot with only a few spots. Place is cash only and was pretty busy when I was there. We got egg fried rice and crispy pork with rice and a pork bbq skewer. Staff were super nice and handled a bunch of orders quickly. We did have to wait 20 mins but there was a lot of people ahead of us and you could see the staff flying around the food truck. Definitely check out and go up or down the highway to one of the pull off spots to watch the surfers!

As a Filipino, I am very picky about my Filipino food. This place does not disappoint. Everything is made to order and delicious. I got the crispy pork belly with fried rice. The meat is cooked to perfection, and the rice is full of fresh vegetables. Love the banana ketchup and the suka on the side.
