This is easily one of the friendliest and most welcoming places I’ve ever been to. If you haven’t been here before, they even let you sample the food to make sure you like it—such a thoughtful touch. Sorry the photos are from halfway through my meal (it was that good!). The pan de coco is absolutely out of this world—I loved it. They also gave us some cake, which was perfectly moist and not overly sweet. My husband finished his before I even got through my first bite!

I was so excited to here that we finally had an authentic Filipino restaurant so I had to try. When you come in, it is connected with the Puerto Rican bar and restaurant (forgot the name) so there is a whole cultural vibe in the building. However, it was very simple and authentic inside there (nothing too wild). The service was nice and made you felt like community. Even a woman (most likely one of the owners) was very a beautiful tradition Filipino dress WHILE SERVING!

Selection of food was good (the stuff I really wanted there is pretty hard to get due to popularity). The portions were pretty fulfilling and everything tasted great. MABUHAY!

I wasn’t expecting good food in Harrisburg but was pleasantly surprised. You can order dishes individually, but most people will get a platter, I got the pancit, squid, and chicken soup dish. All the proteins were tender and flavorful. I also ordered the lumpia and lechon which were crowd pleasers. The owner was nice enoug to check up on all of us and gave us free banana eggrolls which were perfectly cripsy and not too sweet. If I’m ever in the area I would return. I also tried the coconut bun desserts which were bouncy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Interior is homey and welcoming.

Harrisburg’s only Filipino restaurant. The food here is so unique and ABSOLUTELY delicious!! They also have fresh baked goods and I bought some that were just made last night. The staff is amazingly friendly and the service is unmatched.
I highly recommend coming here, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

This brand new Filipino restaurant is AMAZING! The staff and chef are so, so kind. The food is traditional Filipino and so good. We were even able to try a few things before making a decision on our combo meals. The chicken soup is so silky and delicious. We took a pint home to stick in the freezer for a quick meal later on – would also be the perfect remedy for a cold/ cough. We were stuffed and could not try the halo-halo but we will be back – I’m told the halo-halo is famous. It was a little tricky for us to find the place at first as we don’t frequent downtown Harrisburg often, but you first walk through the entrance of a bar and then you’ll see the sign for Kusina de Isla – just in case anyone gets confused like us. 10/10 stars – what’s better than getting a huge amount of traditionally cooked Filipino food for an extremely reasonable price, all while supporting a female owned business?

Plenty of space to enjoy your meal! Rich food from the they have Lechón only Saturday and Sundays. Lunch time is busy I recommend getting there before 1:30 pm so you get to have the lechón since it can ran out quick. Will come back, sometimes they offer Puerto Rican food as well!

Newly open so expected it to be quite busy during lunch hours. Buffet selection, online menu is standard but they have other items. Breakfast platter was great, love the garlic fried rice, the fish and fried pork belly were too dry and cold for me. Plenty of sauces, and yes, they have banana ketchup. Good noodles, grilled pork belly, and halo halo! I was hoping they had lechon but the items changes daily. Everyone is so sweet there, great service. Wish they had more tables (sit yourself) so order pick-up during the lunch rush or else you definitely will be waiting. Gorgeous mural painted the side of the building, parking lot available. I’ll be back to order different items and buy some baked goods.

A wonderful group of people running this place! They were so kind, generous, and welcoming. They took their time to explain all their meat options for me and even gave me samples!

Everything I tried was delicious – you can taste the love and care. We all need to support community places that support us and have caring for people at the core of their business.

I’ll be back very soon!

Their food is so delicious! I’ve been looking for the best Filipino food near me and I finally found it! Their lumpia, lechon kewali, pancit, bbq, and garlic rice are so delicious! I’m gonna have to go back to try something else! They also have sapin sapin, kuchinta, taho, and halo and halo too!
