Quite authentic and delicious xinjing uyghur / central Asian food based on my previous living experience in central Asian! Great lamb kebab and lamb ribs! The garlic nanm is great. My daughter loves it! The soup is great complementary to all the meat! Great experience overall and will come back again!

Food is pretty good. Great if you have a bunch of people and share the food. The somsa is a must! Juicy and well seasoned.

The beef rib soup was okay. Not a lot of meat on the bone and difficult to pick the meat off.

Recommend trying it out!

Food and service was excellent. We came in as a group of 8 after climbing and were able to immediately get seated. We ordered 9 dishes which were all tasty and well spice. They were so good we forgot to take photos of some of them before demolishing them. This is right next to movement so will definitely be coming back.

I came to Kusan Bazaar while I was back in town for winter break. I had such a wonderful experience overall! I really enjoy Uyghur food, and since the restaurant near my university is no longer around, I was excited to find Kusan Bazaar near my hometown!

Everything I ordered here was amazing! The Uyghur milk tea is a must try and a refreshing addition to any meal. I also ordered the naan, lamb soup, Uyghur salad, and samsa to go. What makes Uyghur cuisine so special is its blend of influences from many cultures, including Central Asia, the Middle East, and East Asia. I also love that the food here is halal friendly!

The customer service was excellent! My server was professional, warm, and approachable. He greeted me right away, delivered my food promptly, and checked in on me during the meal. The atmosphere was clean and beautiful, and the prices were very fair for the quality.

I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town!

I went there for a late lunch on a Saturday. This new place is in the CVS plaza at San Antonio and ECR. Lots of parking. The setup is long and narrow with a new contemporary table, bench and bar seating. The menu is a combination of Mediterranean and Chinese cuisines. I chose to sit at the bar counter and quickly ordered the Uyghur salad and lamb kebab skewers.

My salad was brought shortly and consisted of julienned tomato, bell pepper and onion with a light vinaigrette dressing with no red chili pepper. I was told later that the menu was in error and that the menu had several inaccuracies. The salad was fresh and refreshing. The lamb came on two wooden skewers and was medium, seasoned with cumin, moist and a little chewy, I got one fatty piece which was delicious. I should order it medium rare the next time.

A solid and tasty find for fast service good value food in a convenient location. Definitely repeatable.

What a wonderful find! Kushan Bazaar is the newest restaurant in this San Antonio strip mall across from San Antonio Shopping Center and it’s easily one of the best Uyghur cuisine spots that I’ve tried. It’s their second location after their location in Milpitas (and coming to San Jose) and is a wonderful addition to the area.

The menu has a variety of rice plates, soups and appetizers and everything we sampled was flavorful and made with such care. It really reminded me of home cooking with simple ingredients and fresh toppings such as cilantro, peppers and onions.

The home made yogurt is a tasty and nutritious dessert and the cold chili chicken was excellent.

The signature rice pilaf is a generous portion and I loved the lightly stir fried vegetables and simple yogurt dip as well as chili oil and spice to dip the beef cubes. The beef cubes are not as tender as the lamb shank but still tasty.

I personally chose the lamb filled mini wontons with lamb broth and it’s a filling hot soup filled with fresh cut ingredients, savory slices of beef and those cute mini wontons. As a soup fan, I really enjoyed this dish.

Homemade Amine Yogurt $5.95 / Cold Chili Chicken $9.50 / Braised Beef Cubes Pilaf $18.95 / Lamb Broth with Handcrafted Mini Wontons $17.95

Finally, unlike our recent visit to the acclaimed Mrs. Khan’s, we found the flavors here less salty and much more refreshing. I couldn’t be happier with this unexpected find.

Kushan Bazaar is indoor dining only and accepts credit cards. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are not needed.

Good value and nice food. Samsa buns are really flavorful with lamb inside. Roasted lamb is a bit bland, but the Beef rice tastes flavorful. Honey yogurt Is a bit too sweet. Overall great Xinjiang food to try!
