Extremely happy we chose Kurt’s for my wife’s birthday!
Highly recommend making a reservation. We were lucky enough to grab a 7 PM for 2 people on a Saturday night, but called Thursday. One of only a few spots remaining per the hostess.
Once we arrived the hostess Autumn was very kind and informed us she’s get us seated as soon as possible. She was almost apologetic because of how busy they were, but we were 20 minutes early, so it wasn’t any problem! We went and had a glass of wine at the bar.
Bartenders were hustling, cleared the bar quickly, made sure it was clean. Our bartender Danielle was extremely kind and funny to talk with. She was actually just filling in, but kicked off our evening pleasantly.
We were seated close to the bar. Our server was Abby, which was a great surprise as that’s also my wife’s name. So we leaned into that right away for some good vibes. For apps we got the crab stuffed mushrooms and lobster bisque. Absolutely delicious! The tray was cool with little wells for the mushrooms.
Be careful of their rolls. They’re dangerously easy to fill up on. They come out piping hot and crispy on the outside. Herb butter was perfect.
For dinner, my wife has the ribeye and I had the wagyu strip special. Plenty of food for the price and your dishes come with onion straws, choice of potato, and soup or salad. Steaks were perfectly prepared exactly to our liking. Creamed spinach and asparagus for sides were done just right.
We ran out of space quickly, but had some chocolate decadence cake to go. First bite was to die for.
Overall, perfect experience for our first time there. The photos online of the “vibe” don’t do it justice. We hate steakhouses that are too dark, lighting here was on point. Service was incredible. Table was cleared quickly of finished dishes, glasses were full, and we didn’t feel rushed in any way.

Kurt’s Steakhouse is hands down my favorite steakhouse in Wisconsin. The quality of the beef is unreal. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and exactly what you want when you go out for a great steak. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they serve.
The shoestring onions are unbelievable. Crispy, light, and addicting. Honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal every time.
The atmosphere is spot on. Comfortable but still upscale. It feels like a true classic steakhouse without being stuffy. Whether it’s a date night, a celebration, or just a great dinner, Kurt’s always delivers.

Kurt’s was by far the BEST Steakhouse we’ve visited. The atmosphere was sophisticated and relaxed; the staff were all very hospitable; the restrooms were clean; and the food was delectable!! If you’re in the mood for a savory steak or massive lobster tail — stop in and ask for Abby (she was GREAT), be sure to order the Lemon & Berry Mascarpone Cake (rich, creamy, and mouthwatering), peep the food presentation (it was fantastic), and don’t get me started on the table rolls (do yourself a favor and DO NOT pass on the bread, I could have ate 3+ baskets to myself)! To sum it up in a nutshell, we may just drive 4 hours to visit Kurt’s Steakhouse again (and visit our friends as we pass thru ).

Our first time trying Kurt’s and cannot say enough good things. The service was great, people were friendly and inviting, and the food was amazing. Really love the atmosphere also. We had the stuffed mushrooms, lobster bisque, petite filet, and cowboy steak! So delicious!! Can’t wait to go back again soon! (My husband has not stopped talking about how good the au gratin potatoes are)

Definitely preferential treatment given to the regulars. Drinks and food came out very slow compared to the other tables. Ordered the ribs. Absolutely horrible. Quality of meat pathetic. Over cooked, dry and hard. Sauce came in a dish on the side. Worked in restaurants since I was 15. Imagined getting a full rack of juicy ribs smothered in sauce with char marks from being under the broiler. Nope. My son lucked out, his ribeye was good.

The food was excellent! I had a 6 oz filet cooked perfectly. The service was spot on. With drinks I spent around 65.00.The price was in range with similar steakhouse. The restaurant is cozy and not too loud. I enjoyed this restaurant and cannot wait till I return again.

Prices have increased to that of premier steak houses. Kurt’s quality of meat and cook/preparation certainly don’t warrant the increase. My wife enjoyed her junior filet, correctly prepared med rare. My NY strip, requested med rare didn’t come close, approaching well done. Not the first time I’ve experienced this. I ate about 1/3rd. Received a stack of onion strings on the steak I did not want. Drinks now poured at what appeared to be a 1 to 9 ratio. Although this has been a favorite place of ours for a mid-week night out, I’m unsure if/when we’ll be back. It’s so unfortunate Kurt’s seems to be going the way of the Red Circle Inn. Very, very disappointed tonight. I
