What a great little Deli. I got the reuben. I would rate it 9/10 so good. The thousand island dressing was homemade. There was another customer in there taking very highly of their breakfast. The people working was very friendly and talking.

I cannot begin to tell you how warm and welcoming the owner is. We felt right at home chatting with him like an old friend. The sandwiches were perfect; we both ordered the Super Sandwich. The pastries were also out of this world—10/10 new customers for life.

My go to place for donuts on the weekend. Some of the best I have ever had. The Boston cream and peanut pershing are the best.

They also have great sandwiches, breakfast, and are always such pleasant people. So glad to have such a great local place in Brown Deer!

Scrumptious morning bun!
Anodyne coffee is ok but lukewarm.
All the pastries look so good and generous and easy on your wallet. If they’re all like the morning bun, this is the spot!!

Around 1130 on a weekday, it was busy with the lunch crowd, and looks like their suns are well made, big and everyone looked happy with them!

Delicious reasonable food, fresh made to order. Very accommodating staff. Ambiance was delightful. A step back into history of Brown Deer. Children’s toys which brought back good memories. Great looking bakery and Christmas cookies.

I had a great hot sandwich, delicious home made peanut butter cookie, chips and an ice tea. All under $20.
They close at 3:00 so plan your day according.
They have half price deli salads on Saturday too!
I love the welcoming atmosphere and the nostalgic dinning area.

We’re in town from Michigan for a cross country race and were looking for a lunch spot with soup and sandwiches. We found a gem! The food was really good, especially the sandwiches! The kids had a blast playing with the bobble heads and Rock Em Sock Em Robots!

We got to talking to the owner, Brian, about his shop and he let us know he makes fresh donuts Saturday mornings (in addition to their regular pastries), so of course, I had to try it out. Got coffee and donuts/pastries to go for the whole family – sprinkle donuts, apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, etc. Soooo goooood!! Brian recommended the Bienenstich (aka Bee Sting Coffee Cake) to me and it is definitely a must try! My 10 year old said it’s the best thing she ever ate. Haha

Can’t wait for our trip back here for the cross country race next year so I can eat all the things again!

The tuna sandwich was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere made it a great place to study and read. I also enjoyed the coffee and pecan rolls, a perfect sweet touch to a wonderful experience!

What a cute place!! I went in there after a post on Milwaukee Foodie and I wasn’t disappointed. We picked up several things (photos included) and went home to try them. Everything was amazing. Being from Germany myself it’s very hard to find Bienenstich. Kurt’s is amazing! It’s not too sweet and the filling is custard based. The almond horns were amazing! They have just the right amount of almonds and chocolate. The store also has an eating area inside and out. The atmosphere was very welcoming and Kurt himself greeted us at the door. The prices are very reasonable and honestly, he could absolutely charge more and he’d probably get it. They have soups and sandwiches and salads, including German potato. I’ll definitely be going back and recommending this place to all my friends.

My brother and I both had the reuben….best I’ve ever had. Thinly sliced and super lean corned beef with kraut and Swiss cheese.
Thousand Island in a cup on the side.
The bread was pressed and was a great rye that was crunchy on the outside and still bready on the inside.
Highly recommend…
