My two friends told me to try this spot. I made a reservation and I had a party of 5 people. It was busy but not packed when we checked in. We waited a few minutes to be seated. We were seated in the back by the bar and kitchen. Being so close at times it made you cough from the spices. I recommend not sitting there.
Our waiter Christian was very nice. Got our drink order right away. I’m not a drinker. They have 3 mocktails. I got the Fizz cuz it has ginger. Loved it. Now the food, I was told the tacos and lobster dumplings were a must. They were good. Dinner we did the Scallops, Short rib, and Hot stone Japanese Wagyu beef. Just hope our food including the appetizers all came in the sane time.

The food was incredible. We ordered the exotic omakase, one of us sashimi and the other sushi style, and shared. We loved all the cuts of fish, some we’ve never had before. They where all so fresh and the presentation was beautiful.
The service, however, was abysmal. We only ordered the omakase, a diet coke, and a side of sushi rice. The diet coke didn’t come for 20 minutes, we flagged down our waitress to ask about it, and she just said “oh ok I’m getting it”. No sorry, nothing. The sushi chefs gave us our omakase meals. The side of sushi rice never came. We once again flagged down the waitress to ask about it and she gave the same answer, no apology. Then, after she dropped off the bill, she never came back. We took the bill and started walking towards the front of the restaurant hoping someone was at the host stand but they weren’t. We then went back to where we were seated and stood around for a while, and eventually the waitress came back to cash us out.
Awful service, amazing food.

From now on, this is my must go to in AC! I love high quality sushi and this hit the mark! The fish was tender, not a single piece of fat like you see in cheaper places, amazing presentation, delicious sauces. We loved that everything was small plates and we could try a lot of stuff. My wife doesn’t eat seaweed and they were able to replace it with soy paper in rolls. Our drinks were delicious and the waitress was very lovely and helpful and made some fantastic recommendations! All around a fantastic experience!

I started with a chicken and scallop soup. Then the crispy brussels sprouts. And my entrée was the Seabass miso.
The Seabass and brussels sprouts were absolutely spectacular
The texture of the soup was not something I would recommend to anyone.

I must admit, I didnt go for the food but in search of a specialty drink made, or so I heard. A wagyu reduced tallow infused old fashioned. My friends and I were on a quest. After some inquires we were asked to visit Kuro. There is small bar in the back, barely. In the midst of kitchen action we met the wizard of concoctions named Alexis. This was the first time I was thanked for asking for a drink. The fashioned he said would take an hour to prepare. In that hour we were treated like friends visiting him at work. Alexis prepared and created cocktails for us. He showed us a color changing exlir. He explained the science of his magic and what preparations were involved in his creations. We were captivated by his enthusiasm and skills. And lastly, we were delighted by the old fashioned. Thank you Hard Rock. Thank you Kuro. Thank you Alexis. It’s was a beautiful and unique expirence my friends and I will not soon forget. We will be back for the food of course. Kanpai!

I had an incredible dining experience at Kuro Sushi inside the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was elegant yet inviting — the perfect mix of modern sophistication and warm hospitality.

The food was exceptional — every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, authentic flavor. The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the attention to detail in each roll showed true craftsmanship.

A huge shoutout to Sean and Simei, our servers, who made the night unforgettable. They were friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Their timing, recommendations, and professionalism took our dining experience to the next level. They truly made us feel like valued guests.

We had an absolutely AMAZING time. From the beginning to the very end everything was perfect. Tommy was our server. He was cheerful, energetic and was very attentive. The manager, Sam, came over and made sure everything was to our liking, which of course it was. The sushi chef, Desmond, sent out an amazing variety of things to try. Everything was beautiful. The attention to detail, the atmosphere. All of it made a memorable dining experience. We cant wait to come back! Thank you Tommy!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, and I have to say I had the best experience. Katrina was our server, and she went above and beyond all expectations. She was kind, funny, charismatic and just an overall joy. The sushi was incredible, the crispy tuna was almost to die for, and the drinks were…. amazing. Like wow, my least favorite thing is when a high end restaurant tries to label something that tastes like rubbing alcohol as liquor, this place… does the exact opposite. The peach orange blossom, was really killer. The open style of the kitchen was really awesome too. I cancelled my dinner reservations for next week at another restaurant and plan on coming back here! Thank you Kuro!

Unfortunately this was one of the worst meals I have had in quite some time. The whole dining experience was mediocre and frankly disappointing. The nigiri all tasted the same— salmon, tuna, and yellowtail should all taste different but if I was blindfolded I could not have told them apart. The sushi rolls were underwhelming in flavor and small in size. Drinks were just average. The spicy edamame was the only good item we ordered. Given the price tag, the portions were abysmal. It felt like a knife in the back to pay $300+ for this not-so-luxury dining experience when we could have just gone to a local family run sushi joint and gotten significantly better rolls.
