The location here is really good for seeing the Tokyo Sktreee and has good access to public transit and accessibility due to elevators being inside the store and outside.
Exceptional value for money and located right across the Skytree.
The quirk with this store is that the gachapon is not on every table but instead, you put your plates as usual and the winnings (if you do win it) will be recorded in the QR code that you use. You can then scan your QR code and get the gacha from the big gachapon near the entrance once you’ve finished eating.
Cool : There isn’t any waitress/waiters at this restaurant as everything is automated with machine so they can focus on developing such a great menu.
Food : The quality of food is phenomenal at that price. It comes fast and you wouldn’t complain.
I was able to get seated almost immediately,
It was at lunch on a weekday.
They have some exclusive pieces, but it’s tasty and fun like always
You’re supposed to be able to play a gacha game for every 5 plates, but we didn’t get to.
Although this Kura is a “flagship” store, I didn’t see any difference between a regular store except for the nice location across the street from Tokyo Skytree in the Richmond hotel. This restaurant has a huge display game for the gachapon, if you win. (When you eat your sushi, you drop your empty plates into a slot to win a gachapon, redeemable at the big display.)
The clean and welcoming interior is inviting. The curtains at each table provide partial privacy. Compared to other Kura stores, this restaurant fried their dishes well. The corn and fried fish dish tasted fresh from a fryer (or at least not microwaved).
We ate 22 plates of sushi. The bill was roughly $40 USD, which could easily be 2-3X in the USA. There was no wait and not many people on a Wednesday, 2PM.
This flagship store does not offer fugu, but Kura Kura Asakusa flagship does.
Everything was so flavourful. Sashimi was great. We tried a lot of items from the menu and to my surprise everything tasted so good and fresh.
The best part was that it was a weekday so there was no rush and no waiting time to get to the table.
