Sushi is good. You can choose from the revolving sushi conveyor or order from the iPad. We prefer the freshly made option. We preview the rolls on the belt, the place and order for the items. Everything was fresh and nicely made. We had to ask for wasabi and a side dish for the sit sauce. Prices are fantastic! Beer was extra cold. Service isnon existent other than a host to seat you. Robots deliver your drinks. You clear your own table by dropping plates In a slot. Each plate of sushi is $3.45 . Price is great. It is loud inside with lots of moving conveyors and robots. Can be sensory overload for some. We ate our fill, had 2 beers and had leftovers for 2 people @ $50. Very affordable

Great food, good service, and fun experience. I suggest requesting to sit closer to the kitchen “wall” bc sitting further away means that the conveyor will be empty by the time is circled to you. Pulling your plates off the line and having the little robot deliver drinks is a great experience. There are alternative on the menu if someone in your party doesn’t like Sushi.

Such a fun experience! Highly recommend to go with at least one person to get to 15 plates. The waiter, host and chef were so attentive, came and checked in on us. So much fun!

Fun, family-friendly spot with fresh sushi—and I love that you can make reservations online. Big plus was the solid vegetarian options for me. We hit a snag when the table kiosk wouldn’t start our order and the staff couldn’t get it into the kitchen right away, so the wait was longer than expected. Frustrating at first, but the team stayed attentive and got it fixed. Once things were running, everything was tasty—my kids especially loved the conveyor experience and their ramen. Overall a good visit; hoping the tech runs smoother next time.

They should just close reservation if they aren’t going to honor it, plus they don’t compensate for the extra 30+ minutes you have to wait after you check in for your reservation. I reserved because I had a large party, but they didn’t bother to reserve the tables so when I came I had to wait 40 minutes!????? Like huh?? It’s like I didn’t even make a reservation at that point! then they didn’t even put us at table across and just one behind the other like how are we supposed to talk to each other if the tables are behind and not across? We had to get up so many times to talk to each other. Also such slow service.
How come I can make a reservation at the Austin location or Houston location and they are so much busier but I can get a table when my reservation is? Why only San Antonio I make reservation and it takes so long to be seated?
Also, It shouldn’t take 20+ minutes for a gunkan ? 40 +minutes for a hand roll? The place wasn’t even at full capacity and it was so slow! It’s Slow service even on a weekday! Austin and Houston were way more busy on a weekend and it never took 20+ minutes to receive something! Even the revolving sushi plates were all empty except for some watermelon, edamame, or yuzu wasabi tuna, it’s fine if they’re empty , but then why is the service so slow?
(Also if you want the hello kitty items such as the towel, tumbler or food items don’t bother coming, they don’t even have them, only the gachapon. )

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is always a fantastic experience! The sushi is fresh, the variety is terrific, and the whole revolving setup makes it fun to try something new every time. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is clean, lively, and welcoming. This has become a must-stop for me whenever I’m here on business—the food never disappoints, and it’s always a highlight of my trip. Highly recommend!

Definitely worth the wait! It takes about 20 minutes to be seated without a reservation depending on the day of the week. The app offers the ability to make reservations, which I highly recommend. We ate from the belt and all the rolls were fresh! The nigiri was delicious. Great first time experience in a revolving sushi place, and we have continued to go back because it was so good! The robot brings the soft drinks, which I thought was so cool!

The conveyor belt and prize system are both fun. The Kirby theme was cute this time. We enjoyed the healthy fruit and veg options. Staff are friendly and nice.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in San Antonio has sadly gone from one of our favorite family spots to one of the most disappointing dining experiences in town. We used to visit often — the kids loved the fun atmosphere, attentive service, and great food.
While the sushi is still pretty good, everything else seems to have gone downhill. The service was indifferent at best, and the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. The restaurant’s cleanliness was also noticeably lacking.
As a self-proclaimed sushi snob, I was genuinely excited to celebrate my birthday at Kura — but this visit was far from enjoyable. Unfortunately, this experience has us questioning whether we’ll ever return. If you’re looking for quality sushi and a pleasant dining experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

First time ever trying raw salmon and it was pretty great! Definitely worth it and the robot service was definitely the hype too.
