Fun expierence and super unique sushi place! Food is great, waiters were very nice and I like how they give the little ball things when you eat enough plates. I’ve been here plenty of times throughout the years and it’s still one of my favorite spots. The sushi is a bit overpriced, and when it’s really busy it takes quite some time to get some of the dishes you really want. I think the deserts are all really good, and I really like all the types of salmon.

A friend and I were exploring the area and randomly stumbled upon Kura and wow, what a great find! The gentleman who seated us was incredibly polite and welcoming. It was our first time, so we had a lot of questions and he answered every single one. If he didn’t know something, he made sure to find out. The entire staff was amazing and the food was absolutely perfect
We will definitely be back for round two soon!
We also didn’t realize how late it was and ended up staying a bit past closing time (so sorry, guys! ), but even then, the staff remained patient, attentive and never made us feel rushed. Truly appreciated.
Thank you all for a wonderful meal and experience

I moved to Sugar Land not long ago and have been exploring sushi places — finally found Kura! I went this morning around 12. The food was good; however, I noticed the server put his hand in his pocket after using his phone in the corner. He only checked on customers when the manager came out. There were only two tables, one of which was dirty, and the floor was a bit messy too.
We tried calling him and pressing the button, but he didn’t respond, so a manager from the kitchen had to come out and serve us instead. I would have given 5 stars, but the service made me think twice.
The food from the belt was fresh since they waited for the first customer before placing items on it. We’ll definitely come back because we enjoyed the sushi, appetizers, and sashimi — the salmon toro was really good! Could not take all the pic we order

Fun little sushi place. Took a minute to figure out how to open the sushi shells but once I figured it out it was easy. The place was slow with only three customers.
I wish they would have spaced us out a little. I needed to attend a zoom meeting but I didn’t want to disturb others. The waiter didn’t like my request to move then seated the very next table right next to me. Not a big deal but the restaurant was empty. Just didn’t make sense.
Food was good but with it so slow I think some of the sushi was on that belt a while.

First time here and I loved it ! All the sushi was fresh. My favorite was the sockeye salmon and eel. The dessert mochi icecream was so refreshing!

A great / low commitment place to try sushi out if your on the fence about it.
Also the food is amazing, consistent and reasonably priced! Need to serve Nato, onigiri and ajitama though..

Food wasnt that great. If you like everything done with the computer and robots with minimal human interaction you should try it out. It looked cool on the outside looking in with the revolving belt that delivers the food plate, and the robot that brings you your drinka. However, the quality of the fish wasnt great and limited variety. It might be worth a try for just once, but we wouldnt go back.

Biggest issue was the debris in my draft beer. I didn’t notice till I was almost done. Beer didn’t have a salted rim. Makes sense there was debris because the beer was also flat. Had to ask twice for the soy sauce dishes. They asked if we wanted wasabi when we were seated but it never made it to the table. Sushi itself was pretty good for what it is. To summarize, don’t order the draft beer, and be patient with the wait staff.

I liked the place. It was the mixture of sushi and a robotic future theme. There was a conveyor belt with sushi on them. I ordered a miso ramen and it was good! This place was a great place but the only thing was that this place was kind of confusing at first, like we took the whole brown platter of the conveyor and I got scolded. But that’s why I rate this place 4 Stars.

Have been here many many times, is a good first time sushi spot. Is a little bit pricey for the quality. Sometimes give out frozen food during dead hours or non busy hours. I highly recommend getting the non-sushi stuff like the chicken kaarage which is really authentic and the warabi mochi dessert. Check out the photos for a big variety of the kind of sushi you can get here.
